UFC 79 Predictions
Georges St Pierre Matt Hughes
VS
Georges demolished a complacent Hughes in their last fight.UFC 65. However, when they met for the first time back in UFC 50 Hughes was victorious with an arm bar in the first round.
Seeing how dominant Georges has been over wrestling based fighter.
Georges reclaims the Welter Weight Title Via Knockout Round 3.
Wanderlei Silva Chuck Liddell
VS
This is a fight everyone sees ending one way, Knock out. The only question is who gets knocked out. Silva has incredible Muay Thai, demonstrating great hooks and is famous for his knees from the clinch. Chuck uses more a kick boxing based fighting style focused on powerful straight punches.
While straight punches usually are great counters to hooks (as shown by cro cop) Chuck looked horrible in his last fight verse Keith Jardine.
Silva Via Knockout Round 1.
Ryoto Machida Rameau Sokoudjou
VS
This is another great match up of strikers. Ryoto is undefeated and seems to be slowly churning his way towards a title shot. Sokoudjou Came out of nowhere to defeat two top 5 Light heavy weight fighters and thrust himself into the spot light. Sokoudjou has Olympic caliber Judo but prefers to spend the fight on his feet throwing strikes. Machida has a black belt in jiu jitsu and Karate, so both men are skilled on both the feet and the ground.
Machida wins another fight Via Decision.
Jordan Radev Dean Lister
VS
Jordan Radev is back after his debut loss to Drew McFedries. This guy can not get an easy fight for now he is facing the Jiu Jitsu Wizard Dean Lister. Jordan is an excellent wrestler however I do not see him being able to avoid Listers submissions.
Be prepared for a jiu jitsu clinic Lister Via Submission Round 1.
