The Mines of Volmivouk

High on a glacier that never moves nor melts a palace carved of ice reigns, ruled by the House of Aoor. It is one of their most prized lands, for this palace is merely the tip of the iceberg (pun intended). Below the vast and frozen halls is a complex and endless expanse of excavated caves. This is where the dwarves and knockers of Aoor mine crystallized music, which is almost priceless to makers of eldritch trinkets.

Few have ever tried to seize the place, usually because of the hostile environment, but also because attacking dwarves and knockers in their own mines is suicide. The crystalline castle itself often plays host to concertos and other artistic gatherings, allowing the workers to socialize and the nobles to make trade agreements. The marvellous halls are decorated with statues of solid music and light trapped in ice, and the palace itself harmonizes beautifully with any tune played therein.
