The Witch

Character name: Winifred Thorn. Winny.
Race:Magical. Not sure exactly what she is. A wise woman/fairy type.
Age: 64
Height: 5'3''
Eye color/shape: Hazel. Oval shaped. She's completely blind in ther left eye so it looks cloudy and white. Sometimes she will wear an eye patch to cover it.
Hair color/style: Silver/gray. Curly. Tends to look like a birds nest piled on top of her head, with random things like leaves and string sticking out of it.
Face specifics:Oval shaped. her cheek bones are high and she has a small nose. Thin lips and surprisingly white teeth. her skin is wrinkled around the eyes and the mouth and she's sporting a few liver spots. She has a scar the runs from the top of her left eyebrow, down through her eye to the top of her cheek.
Body specifics: Pretty damn bony and thin. She is small and delicate, but without seeming frail.
Occupation: Currently an unemployed "crazy" person who lives in a weird little house near the center of the city park. She'll end up helping the good guys in bringing down the reign of the Godmother.
History: So here's the deal with Winny. When she was younger, she and her two sisters Lily and Claire were pretty important people in The City before the Godmother rose to power. They were members of the City council and owned and ran a rather large hospital.  Despite being magical they were not greedy or power hungry and only really desired to help people. So when the Godmother came to power she wanted them to work for her, but being morally just, they said no. This pissed the Godmother off and since she couldn't kill the because they were all so powerful so she started spreading propaganda about dark magic and embezzled money, tarnishing their names and running the hospital into the ground. The three planned on launching a political, and if it came to it, magically attack against the Godmother. However what they planned was not to happen. You see, unlike the others Claire was married to the police commissioner of the city and pregnant with with their first child (Ruby's father). Seeing that she now had a family to protect she told her sisters that while she would support them she could not fight with them. The other two sisters understood her choice and still went after the godmother themselves. The outcome was not a success for them, resulting in Winny being gravely injured and Lily being turned into a squirrel.  They retreated in their home in the Enchanted forest (the park) and have been there ever since. everyone thinks Winny is crazy because she's blind in one eye, usually pretty random and scatter brained, and spends alot of her time talking to the squirrel that is her sister. Claire and her husband where later killed by Augustine Wolfe.
Personality: Winny is an interesting lady. She's oppinionated and loud, not afraid to talk to herself out loud or to the little red squirrel that seems to follow her everywhere. She can be blunt, confrontational, and slightly hot headed. If she doesn't like you she's going to tell you why and list the ways you can improve yourself. She's got a good, albeit slightly twisted, sense of humor and is pretty tricky. She also tends to come off slightly creepy and has a habit of staring at people with her one good eye like she can see right inside of them. It seems to most people that Winny is more then a little bit crazy. She's vague and mysterious, often rambling about things that don't seem to have much relevance. In truth her ramblings, although cryptic, make lots of sense and she's really very wise.
Sexual preference: Men, but she's a bit old for that now.
Relations: Her sister Lily, who is currently in the form of a red squirrel. Her sister Claire who is dead. Ruby Woods is her great niece (Ruby doesn't know this.) Hates, Hates, Hates the Godmother.
Abilities: Very magically powerful, although not as powerful as the Godmother. She has the general magical abilities and a pretty strong gift for healing. She also is very observant and can tell instantly is someone is not being truthful.


React to the following statement ic (in character):

"Hey! Don't think I'm stupid. I know what you're up to."

Winny turned on the path and looked at the police officer a few yards behind her, curiously, "I think he's talking to us, Lily. Perhaps we should see what he wants." She commented. The small red squirrel perched on her shoulder made a soft clicking sound.

The man looked slightly off put by her chatting with the squirrel but he continued. "You're the crazy lady that lives around here. This is public property. I don't know how you've gotten away with it for so long but living in the park is not allowed." 

He seemed pretty angry but Winny just shook her head with a sigh, "No respect, no respect. You know sonny, it's not very wise for you to approach strange little old ladies so forcefully. You should have more respect for you elders." She took a few steps toward him, the air around them seeming to buzz with unreleased magic.

As she got nearer the man was beginning to look nervous and took a few steps back. He had heard some pretty interesting stories about this woman and was now regretting stopping her.

"Maybe I should turn you into a weasel? That would teach for snooping around in other peoples business and being disrespectful." She began to raise her arm as if to cast a spell. The officer didn't think twice before he was off down the path at a run. 

Winny cackled wickedly as she watched him go. "Cheeky little bastard." She grumbled and turned back in the direction she was going. The squirrel chirped disapprovingly on her her shoulder. "Oh Lily, no need to get yer hackles up. I wasn't going to turn him into a weasel." Her hazel eye danced merrily and she smiled. "Besides, a weasel wouldn't have suited, he seemed more of the frog type." With that they continued to walk back towards their house, and as they did so the trees and plants seemed to close in behind them, covering up the path that had once been there.
