Lesson 1
1. Basics
-What is Magic?
Something has drawn you here, piqued your interest enough that you opened this link. Be it the magic that is all around us, the insatiable curiosity inside of you, the thirst for knowledge or power, the draw of the elements, of the natural energies, or simply Harry Potter or some other magic-related media.
The reason you are here does not matter, all that matters is what you intend to do with the power I can help you achieve, how much dedication you put in to learning, and that you do not break any of the simple rules of Witchcraft and Wiccanism, which I will explain in a future lesson.
I warn you now that this is not an easy power to develop. It takes time and dedication, and especially the desire to do good with the power you have. This is white magic, not black. Anything bad you do will come back upon you, times three. Likewise, any good you do will come back threefold. Because of the extreme affects this kind of power can have, it will take a long time to get it. I teach somewhat along the lines of Coventry witchcraft, with stages of learning, and things you need to know before you can progress.
This will take months, at least six, until you can be initiated and be a witch. Sure, you could ‘initiate' yourself before you know all I can teach you, and term yourself a witch, but it does not make you one. I do not presume to be a great witch, or even someone who has been in the witchcraft field for a long time. I could indeed be younger than you. But I do presume to understand when someone is actually a witch, and how much certain people can achieve. If you take this class, you must follow my directions, and not go ahead of my schedule, or the consequences could and probably will be disastrous. Now that the warnings have been delivered, let me begin the lesson.
Real Magic is forged with natural energies. It is as natural as the Earth, water fire and air. Within its simple rites many have found answers to the multitude of challenges that life present to them.
Wicca is an open religion. All can come before the altar and worship the Goddess and God, whether alone or in the company of others; initiated or not. You do not need to give up your former religion, whatever it may be. Magic is pure and powerful, and has been around since before the dawn of time. Time itself is magic.
I do not know how to fly on a broomstick, and it could be months, or perhaps even years before you can predict the future, or levitate a feather, or cause a wick to burn without a premade flame. But you will learn Wiccanism and white magic, as long as you dedicate yourself and spend the time to learn it. However, it will take a long time.
It is debatable whether magic is in us all or not, but I believe that everyone has the ability to learn magic. Practicing will be harder for some than others. But is that not the way it is for everything? Magic can be a blessing in your life and I believe you will not regret the time you put forth to learn it correctly.
I assure you that the next lesson will be more like an actual lesson.
