The Lunar Phase

The lunar phase is important in determining the best times for magic.

The Waxing Moon (from the New Moon to the Full) is the ideal time for magick to draw things toward you.

The Full Moon is the time of greatest power.

The Waning Moon (from the Full Moon to the New) is a time for study, mediation, and little magick work (except magick designed to banish harmful energies).

The Moon's Sign

The Moon continuously "moves" through the zodiac, from Aries to Pisces. Each sign possesses its own significance.

Moon In Aries: When the Moon is in Aries, people may tend to be combative and headstrong.Feeling the need to assert themselves, they'll hold their ground against opposing views, attitudes and advice.Generally, each individual will feel a need to be heard or acknowledged in some way.There may be an inward looking tendency, causing them to consider their own thoughts, opinions and needs over those of others.On the other hand, this moon placement confers creativity, enthusiasm, a love of action, ambition and energetic physical activity.This is a time for new beginnings and for instigating change, a period when people will be highly original, innovative or seeking to break new ground.One's role in life may seriously come into question.This is definitely a time for action, but some may be impulsive and rush headlong into things without considering the long-term view.
