Basic vs Advanced
Winter of Wolves is a Rule-based RP, but that doesn't mean we want players to have to crunch numbers and learn the whole system to play. Pretty much all of the game can be played with basic rules, for which you only need to know the information written out here. Sometimes, there will be advanced rules which can be handled back stage by the GM, whenever you see text Written like this, these are advanced rules and you can feel free to ignore them if you don't want to get into the mechanics of the RP.
Almost any weapon, piece or armor or item in Winter of Wolves can be created from simpler materials by skilled characters. Advanced Components are expensive and complex items that can be created out of both raw materials and other, simpler components.
To avoid complications, raw materials will be quantified in units, and the cost (in Guerrmarks) and weight described below corresponds to one unit of the material. Unlike raw materials, components may be purchased or created by charaters, so the materials and time necessary to make them will also be included in the description.
Metal Cog/Lever
Assorted metal cogs and levers are created to allow motion and mechanical movement within engineered devices

Hydraulic Pump
Hydraulic pumps are made out of metal cilinders designed to fit within one another alongside rubber fittings. When pushed and pulled together, the pump displaces large amounts of hydraulic fluids.

Metal Tank
Metallic tanks tend to be cylindrical or spherical containers made of metal. Air-tight and resilient, they are ideal to carry everything from gas to flamer fuel.

Engine Parts
Cilinders, blocks, special cogs, steam tubes, engine parts covers an array of specialized, metallic components to make advanced machinery.

Focusing Lens
Focusing lenses are made of carefully and painstakingly corrected glass, sanded and polished to the point every single imperfection has been dealt with and the shape perfectly focuses light into one spot.

Drilltip
Usually made from the hardiest refined metals, drilltips are used both on pneumatic weapons and the tools given to the miners who brave the tunnels beneath the royal city.

Spark Plug
Spark plugs are pieces of machinery made of metal and ceramics found in flint. They are capable of producing sparks useful for starting electrical, mechanical and flame machines.

Spring Coil
Used mostly for suspension and recoil management, spring coils are thick metal rods twisted into a coil. When pressure is applied to them, they give way while attempting to return to their original shape.

Tesla Coil
Capable of conducting and projecting large quantities of electricity, Tesla coils are instrumental for the use of electrical machinery.

Nozzle
Nozzles are specially shaped ends for tubing and the sort that allow not only to stop the flow of gas or liquid through the tube with a simple motion, but to focus it on one spot.
