bright eyes dark eyes

                  Bright eyes, dark eyes.
                  Eyes that have been to hell and back.
                  Seen love and war an inch apart
                  and tip-toed on the cold gates of heaven,
                  only to find rapture in the dance back down to earth.
                  Old Soul, young heart.
                  Disregarding my past, I drink in
                  the knowledge I've gained from it.
                  Feet been to a million places,
                  the mind even more.
                  Frail and strong.
