Crumbled

You never saw me crying
You never saw me fear
You never saw me dying
No, you never saw a tear
I think you've got a problem
With how you see yourself
And yet it's all about them
As you're set upon a shelf
Raised above, so plastic cheap
Gawked at, poked at and prodded
You fear this feeling, this leap
Fearing that you may end up dead
Outward appearance is all you cared
The insides rotten to the core
And yet with me you never dared
When my heart hit the cold floor
You saw the outside of me
And beauty is only skin deep
My world crumbled to debris
My body lying in a heap
