Doppelganger

Doppelganger means "double walker" which in normal terms is a duplicate of another person or creature. A doppelganger does not necessarily have a blood relationship with its double. A doppelganger may therefore be either an astral projection or a ghost. An example of a doppelganger can be found in Robert Louis Stevenson's "Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde."
