I've been getting some advice on ways to tone my comic that will look better on the web. I was pointed to this photoshop swatch, which contains 214 copic marker colors, 4 sets of greys among them.

I doubt I'll be toning in a painterly style, I just wanted to see how all the shades looked together.

Neutral's too dark, it interferes with the line art. Toner's better, but the darkest bits still seem to get in the way, however! The warm spectrum, none of the lines look muddied by the darkest darks and her skin tone looks slightly darker than the toner, which I like. The cool one looks, well, too cold. I think it clashes with the mood.

The problem with the warm spectrum, though, is you can't see the shading on the lightest parts, like, at all. So you'd either have to go darker and not use that lighter tone, or steal one from another group, which I really don't see as being to much of a problem.

And that's my opinion.
