2009-11-27 [DarkJenni]: I choose this one...but all reality I'm a bit lost. lol
2009-11-27 [Andrei]: how so? immagine 6 heavily armoured dudes. this is what they can do more or less. i think i need to explain the shield a little bit though
2009-11-28 [DarkJenni]: yea maybe...lol. I just read this one a bit....but i'm kinda having a bad day right now...:(
2009-11-29 [Evolution X]: RUN AWAY!: A defender may only leave his shield behind in battle under the most dire circumstances, if there is one defender left on the team and they are below a quarter health they can shield shove/slam an enemy to overbalance them, pin the enemy with the heavy shield and run off. The enemy can only escape after the Defender has fully escaped.
2009-11-30 [Andrei]: i designed all abilities by thinking of a battle between 2 of the classes. innitially the kensai, defender and berserker were pitted against eachother in an immaginary, free of bonds universe. whenever anyone did anything other than your regular hit- it became an ability- eventually written down, consiidered and added to the list you see above. i never EVER immagined the defender (kensai or berserker) backing from a fight- each for his own reasons: defender's staunch training (also his heavy armour) kensai's crazy honor-code and berserker's rage- which basically makes him ignore all wounds untill he goes down like the black knight facing arthur in monty python's holy grail.
2009-11-30 [Evolution X]: I just considered the fact that a defender travels in a pack, much like a wolf, but when all the others are killed they would do anything to survive by themselves. It's basically a "gnaw your own leg off" responce, specially because if there were more than one enemy the Defender would be completely USELESS without the shield.
2009-11-30 [Andrei]: consider that the defender (the knight aswell) is the respone to a threat given by some things that are as tall as a man on a horse- all bloodcrazed and bloody. your troops will be outfitted to survive and trained to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. still, you might be onto something :)
2009-11-30 [Evolution X]: just trying to Monty Python things, the amount of times it's just "Attaaaaaaack!
2009-11-30 [Andrei]: heh! "noo! do not throw ducks!! NOOO" QUACK *yelp* *dead*
