george, who emerged from the kitchen holding a plate with a sandwich on it, seemed a little... Tense. It was more than just an emotion for him, he could get overly tense if he wasn't too careful, and things just might break internally. He walked silently over to the elevator in the entrance hall, pushing a button to summon it.

Penelope let out a whistle between her teeth, "Hey George! Hold up a minute, would ya?" she called and jogged up beside him, "Look- sorry about that comment. I thought you two were over it. I was just foolin' ya know?"

There was a silence as George stood there, but it wasn't the kind of silence that came from him being shut down. He was trying to think again without breaking. "There is no need to apologise." he said eventually "But please. We... I... will never be... over it." The elevator dinged and he took a step inside, turning and looking at Penelope. He wasn't pressing the button, he was waiting for her to either say something, or get in the elevator with him.

"So...we're cool?" Pen asked, tilting her head, having trouble reading this guy.

There was a little silence as George remained standing in the lift, before he said "Have you apologised to Waya?" He didn't look at her, then again his face was a blank mould made by Mojo, so that didn't matter "She must have placed a lot of trust in you. I hope you have not destroyed this trust."

"We're cool too." Penelope insisted.

There was a pause, and even though his face didn't move, it was easy to tell George didn't believe her "Have you apologised to her?"

"Don't worry your shiny head about my business" Penelope said with a scoff, not liking how newly aggressive he was being.

There was silence for a short while again, then George said "Do you not like me?"

"What? No, that's not it. I don't not like you. To be frank, I don't know you that well to begin with. Or anyone here for that matter. I just don't take orders very well. You should know that by now." Penelope explained.

"Then why..." George paused for a moment, then continued on "Why did you call me 'it'?" George had more sensitive hearing than Penelope realised.

"Would you prefer 'he?'" Penelope asked.

"I... yes...." George said with what sounded like a sigh. He had wanted to say about him being alive, or a real person, but it wasn't true... He just wanted to be that.

"Sorry for that too." Penelope said, "I just... I don't know many robots. I wasn't sure the proper form. I suppose 'he' is a bit more personable. I've called babies 'it' a few times on accident."

"I should probably warn you that I am... likely the most unstable emotionally person in this mansion." George said gently "I am sorry if you feel I get insulted over things which you deem not worthy to get insulted over, but I find my very existence... troubling. Now... I should go make you your belt." He reached out to press the button, moving slowly so Penelope could decide what to do.

"Alright... see ya?" Penelope shrugged as the doors closed, unintentionally throwing character development out the window.

George sighed and held the door as it started closing, he'd hoped to at least encourage a bit of activity in Penelope but apparently he had to be the one to push her forward into actually giving two shits. "Do you want to come downstairs and help me build this device?" he asked.

"Uh... sure?" Penelope said, forgetting Waya was probably waiting for her return. "I probably won't be much help." she confessed and stepped inside.

"That has never stopped people before." George said with a little shrug, pressing the button again and letting the elevator doors close "Thank you though... for not being afraid."

"Of you? Pff... honey, I've been stranded on an alien tv show for 6 months. I've seen a lot scarier things in that timeframe than you. Besides, I could chop you up into robot sushi if you tried anything. So... don't try anything, okay?"
