10 Days of Photography - Stuff that didn't make it

Day 1: Worlds apart

This is me missing my boyfriend. I hope that this is somewhat obvious.
I live in Sweden, he lives in the United States. Need I say more?
He could as well be on a different planet...

Day 2: Hunger

This is what I want on my plate - what I hunger for.
I want to thank my love for helping me with this theme because I was really frustrated for a while. I did it my own way though.

Day 3: Soft

My first thought for the theme went to fur. That this cat is the softest and cuddliest one, and usually look "modest" kinda adds to the meaning of this picture.

Day 4: Freak of nature

I had a really hard time with this theme - because the word "freak" to me is just something we use,
when WE have issues accepting things the way they are.
To me, there is no such thing as a "freak".

This picture has two meanings to me. The one thing that comes to my mind when I think of "something weird from nature" I think of humans and how we have developed "beyound nature". The "beyond nature" part is according to me a BAD thing. I know a lot of people are proud of being human and how we are "above" everything. Well, I'm NOT one of those people.

Another twist to the picture are my scars, and I HOPE I don't cross the line by having them in the picture. A lot of people consider depressed or self mutilating people to be "wrong" or "natures mistakes", I heard this psychologist who had a different theory though; that depressed people often are MORE aware about reality than other people - that perhaps they are what's RIGHT with humanity, but that society does the natural individuals wrong. So in a way, depressed people are "natures freaks", as in being the more natural ones, but being freaks in the eyes of others.

I did not do it intentionally but I think it is really interesting how the shadow covers the part of my arm that has scars on it - and in the sunny part there is the flower in my hand. It is as if the shadow holds the bad and the twisted, the self hatred, unability to fit into society,
and the good part is in the light, where I'm embracing nature and its beauty.

Day 5: Naughty!

He ALWAYS steels my computer chair. The second I get out of it he steals it from me. So he is somewhat of a naughty kitty :P But look at him? I just loooove his look here, it is as if he is saying "You CAAAAANT be mad at me because I'm so cute, right mom?"

Day 6: Baggage

I wanted to picture the less visible baggage - emotional baggage. Had some better ideas of how to show it but couldn't find a proper place and light setting to shoot it in so this is what I settled for.

Day 7: Luxury

To me the word "luxury" means something you WANT but don't really NEED. This is what I usually reward
myself with and I always end up feeling bad about wasting money on something so unecessary.
Needless to say I love the rainbow? (this is the second photo with rainbow colors in it.)

Day 8: Comfort

Nature gives me comfort.

Day 9: Eeny Meeny Miney Mo

"Love" or "money"?
Added dry sand inside the heart and outside of the dollar mark, simply to symbolize how one choice will give you more "inside",
the other choise is empty, superficial and more about the outside, and can leave you feeling empty inside.

Day 10: Why Is The ... Coffee ... Always Gone?

Had to take help from a friend for this subject.
I thought I'd better post a less good photo rather than no one at all.
