8. The Whole Story?
We suck at Life, but We’re Wicked Cool
.:Chapter 9:. Aaron
Friend or Foe
“I’m really hungry,” I said which caused everyone to turn and look at me with a strange face. “What?”
“Aaron, you do realize what is going on, right?” Eva asked.
“Of course I do,” I told her then sighed. “Connor, leave me alone.” I said simply. “You’re not only not worth my time, but you’re a compulsive liar who can be eaten by carnivores chickens.” I was done with him. I knew what I saw that day, and neither of them were cloth. Not to mention that Lily may have done a hurtful thing, but she would never do something like what Connor was proposing. She didn’t have it in her.
“Aaron, please!” Connor started to beg, but luckily Gab grabbed his arm as he started to move closer to me.
“Look dude, I’ve got no clue what’s going on her, but my sister told you to get lost, so beat it.” I had never been more proud of Gabriel. “I’m serious, get lost.”
“Ya, go away,” Eva pitched in.
“This isn’t over,” Connor announced then left the pub.
“So someone want to tell me what is going on?” Gab asked. Knowing that there was no way I could avoid telling him the truth any more, I sat our group back into the booth and told my brothers everything that I’d been hiding for the last couple of years. “I should have skinned that guy alive,” Gab replied with clenched teeth. Luckily, I left a lot of the parts about Nate out of the things I told him.
“Well, lass, just ignore Connor for the rest of your trip,” Patrick said. “Enjoy it why you can.” I beamed up to him; however, so did Eva, which caused a devious idea pop into my head. Not only would it rile Eva up, but tick Gab off at the same time.
“You know your pretty awesome, Patrick,” I said as I scooted closer to him. “I bet you have the girls here eating out of your hands.” I put my flirt mode to the highest level. I knew that Eva was competitive; I just needed to let her nature take its course. “So you never did answer my question from before.”
“Which one, lass? You asked me a lot o’ them,” Patrick replied.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” A blush rose in his checks, and Eva had ‘I-hate-you-di
e’ look on her face. I was upset and vexed making the needed for some fun and teasing necessary. “After all I’m sure if you were my boyfriend and were showing around pretty girls like us I’d be a bit upset.” I smiled a bright smile.
“Well, it’s a good thing I don’t have one because I’m sure you’re right and she wouldn’t like that,” Patrick said. However, before I had the chance to reply Eva grabbed my arm and ripped me out of the booth.
“We’ll be right back,” she said, pulling me towards the restrooms. “What do you think you’re doing?” She hissed.
“He’s cute and I like him,” I told her. I knew she was going to react like this, but she was a bit more upset then I thought. “Why, what’s the problem?”
“You’re practically throwing yourself at him,” She said. I lifted my eyebrow.
“You really think he’s hot don’t you?” A blush rose in her cheeks.
“Mayyyyyyybe.” I had an awesome idea,
“Then how about since both you and I are interested in him that we put it to the test to see who he likes more.” It was her turn to raise an eyebrow.
“Tell more.”
“A bet. Whoever gets Patrick to kiss them first wins.”
“The stakes?” I thought about it, then smiled my mischievous smile.
“If I win you have to wear a skimpy bikini to the opening soccer car wash this summer.”
“And if you lose?”
“I’ll sell my self to the team to the highest bidder.”
“You’re on.” Some how I knew she’d agree to it.
“Then it’s on.”

“This isn’t over,” Connor announced then left the pub.

“You know your pretty awesome, Patrick,” Aaron said as she scooted closer to him. “I bet you have the girls here eating out of your hands.” I could see her putting her flirt mode to the highest level. She knew that I was competitive, and I could tell that she had something up her sleeve. “So you never did answer my question from before.”
“Which one, lass? You asked me a lot o’ them,” Patrick replied.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” she asked. A blush rose in his checks, and I threw Aaron my ‘I-hate-you-die’ look. “After all I’m sure if you were my boyfriend and were showing around pretty girls like us I’d be a bit upset.” She smiled a bright smile, and I glowered at her.
“Well, it’s a good thing I don’t have one because I’m sure you’re right and she wouldn’t like that,” Patrick said. Before Aaron had even the chance to reply, I grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the booth.
“We’ll be right back,” I said, pulling her towards the restrooms. Once we were out of ear shot, I asked “What do you think you’re doing?”
“He’s cute and I like him,” She told me. I just scowled at her some more. “Why, what’s the problem?”
“You’re practically throwing yourself at him,” I said. Aaron lifted her eyebrow at my comment.
“You really think he’s hot don’t you?” A blush rose in my cheeks; I could feel it.
“Mayyyyyyybe,” I replied as I crossed my arms. I hoped the day we liked the same boy would never happen, but it looks like it has finally arrived. This was either going to be good or bad, and I’m not so sure about the first option.
“Then how about since both you and I are interested in him that we put it to the test to see who he likes more.” I raised my eyebrow at the idea. This could be interesting. Maybe it won’t be good or bad; maybe it will be fun.
“Tell more,” I demanded.
“A bet. Whoever gets Patrick to kiss them first wins.”
“The stakes?” Aaron thought about it; then she smiled her mischievous smile. I’ve come to be very cautious about that smile.
“If I win you have to wear a skimpy bikini to the opening soccer car wash this summer.”
“And if you lose?” I asked.
“I’ll sell my self to the team to the highest bidder.”
“You’re on.”
“Then it’s on.”
