Hails from: A work-in-progress novel called To Protect That Smile. A fantasy book set in a world quite unlike ours.
Physical Description: Asavare isn't very... womanly. Granted, she has curves and she has the nessessary parts, but she can easily dress up in drag and people will assume that she is a male. Her short dirty blonde hair is cut short, near the jawline, except for a few strands of black hair that is coarse and thick near her left eye. Her left eye has a black pupil that is devoid of any light, even if you were to shine a light into it, no reflection will be had. Her other eye is perfectly fine, a bright blue. She's rather boney, but not starved-looking, with pale almost white skin. Though she gets sunburn quite easily when in the sun for too long. Her height is pretty average for a Shronian at five foot five.
Mental Description: Asavare is very confident in not only herself but in Valmir as well, mainly because the two had been born at the same time. And because Valmir had cursed her. Regardless, she doesn't feel any ill will towards him. Not at anyone, for that matter. Asavare firmly believes that people should act according to their whims, no matter if they are good natured or not. She has no restraint when it comes to talking though, at times, she will act in certain ways to see how others will react to her. Through this acting, she manipulates people to a certain degree. Whether she manipulates them consciously or not, even she doesn't quite know. All she is concerned about is that it's fun.
Interesting Tidbits: Despite growing up in the heavily communistic environment of Shrone, Asavare has a very individual personality and embraces challenges and diversity.
Her Tale: Asavare's home country, Shrone, exists high in a mountain range and is isolated from the rest of the world. On the day of her birth, another Shronian was born, Valmir. When his mother died a natural death in childbirth, Valmir's soul reached out for a kindred spirit. He found Asavare, who just reached the world the same time he did. Her mother died in childbirth and a strange death spread throughout Shrone. Any child that was five years or younger died as well, and in the next five years no Shronian woman could conceive a child. Valmir bore the same eye as Asavare and so the Shronians blamed him for the curse. And yet, no matter how much they tried, they could not kill him.
Asavare and Valmir are linked, but neither one knows how deeply they are connected. They do know that it deals with desire. The two grew incredibly close as they grew older, even when they turned sixteen and the country of Shrone was invaded by the dictatorship country, Dai Tsun. Asavare and Valmir were seperated under a major misunderstanding; Asavare was mistaken as a boy and taken to the Dai Tsun slave mines while Valmir was whisked away with the women to enter into the King of Dai Tsun's harem.
Asavare was protected by the Shronian men in the slave mines when a revolutionary underground group broke into the mine and freed the slaves. Asavare was entranced by their leader, Lusipher, and greatly wished to become her.
Complicated events took place, where Asavare's naive soul was tainted and she began to know words such as 'manipulate' and 'greedy'. When the world was finally at peace once again, Asavare had no desire to reclaim the mountain range and rebuild Shrone. Instead, she took Valmir and the two began their new life as nomads, travelling the countryside.
The Curse Details: Desire. What Asavare desires, she will eventually get. Asavare never wanted Valmir to die, which is why no matter how hard the Shronians tried, they never could seem to kill off the boy.
She doesn't know how to fully harness this power, and at times she abuses it. The power deals a lot with chance and coincidence. Asavare wants to have strawberry tart for dessert, only strawberries are out of season. Fortunately, the cook had kept a single jar of strawberries in preservation, thus enabling her to have her strawberry tart. Coincidence? Or her power?
Asavare belongs to Mai Lynn Madness and cannot be used in anything without my say so.
