CALIBAN
User Name: [
CuteCommander]
Character name: Unknown
Mutant Name: Caliban
Classification: Prisoner/X-Men
Abilities/powers: Monstrous size and appearance, including superhuman strength, toughness, and carnivorous claws and teeth.
Sex: Male
Age/Date of Birth: 20, 5th of May
General appearance: Caliban is huge, standing at 7' tall when hunched over (as usual) but reaching 8'6" when straightened. His shoulder span is an impressive 4' and he has a visibly noticeable muscular frame. His skin is like dark grey leather, and his square head is framed on the top by two rows of 10 short horns of a lighter shade. His eyes are narrow but sharp, red, and topped with bristling black eyebrows. He also has a thick tail, lined with horny projections that continue up his back. His teeth and claws are wolf-like, and his claws are on his hands and feet. Thick, black wirey hair grows on his chest, chin, arms, legs and groin.
Additional Appearance: Scars line much of his body from various wounds. His left arm has an iron bar thrust through the forearm, an inch protuding from either side, the remnant of an attempt to contain him. He covers his groin and backside with a makeshift kilt of thick, tattered, dirty canvas.
Personality: Caliban does not easily trust people, particularly non-mutants or those noticeably armed. He hates humans, as much of his life has been spent fighting and fleeing from various government and non-sanctioned groups. He is happiest when in large or open spaces. Despite his monstrous nature and appearance, he does have a soft-spot for the ladies.
Special Skills: An excellent hunter and able to make many home comforts from junk.
Place of birth: Vancouver, Canada
Weapon(s) of choice: His own body - his strength, teeth, claws, and tail.
Medical information: Digestive system doesn't work well due to a poor diet, causing pain and poor nutrient absorption.
Brief History: When Caliban was born, medical science was dumbfounded. His single mother, a traveller, died during childbirth. As such, he was taken in as a medical study. This animalistic child grew up in a secretive facility, learning much of his education in an underground bunker. But as he grew, and he reached puberty, hormones raged in him, and as a regular teenager will rebel, so did he. His new muscular growth and a feeling of detachment from the people who raised him pushed him to escape. Those who had seemed kindly guardians and teachers turned on him, arming themselves and firing on him. His rage roared through him, and the blood of many guards was on his hands by the time he finally reached the wilds of British Columbia.
Stumbling on to a small town, he was greeted with screams and armed response police. Again, he fled, and his distrust of humanity grew. The way that the townsfolk had recoiled from him made him remember a pitiful creature from Shakespeare's tales, and he took on the name Caliban. He roamed the wilds, learning to hunt for sustenance and through necessity, but a part of his nature made him a natural predator. The tales of a monster brought people in to the woods and mountains, and so Caliban was forced to constantly be on the move, and so found himself crossing in to the United States.
It was in the States that he was captured, a clandestine organisation interested in overtly mutant subjects. They held no compassion for him, and so held him with painful restraints and electrical aversion techniques. They were ineffective, only making him angrier. Again, he escaped, but this time leaving nobody alive.
His anger against humanity was now like an intense heat burning inside him. Now, when people came in search for him, he wouldn't simply flee but fight back before moving on. It was only a matter of time before the Xavier Institute heard his case and came to bring him in, for the good of the general population.
Relatives: None known. He doesn't even know his mother's name.
