Chapter 2: Discussion

  "Yes." Kurama answered. "Good...So far we know that's it's capable of destroying a city with it's power. Though the spell Rika has placed on it seems to have contained and destoried the dark energy that was traped within the orb." Koenma explained, "What happened to Rika when the orb entered her body is still unknown, so it could pose to be a major threat. That and the fact it shocks anyone who touches it. All except Rika that is..." he continued. Rika just looked the other way with a 'HMPH!'. "Anyway...We can't bring the orb to the castle for study since we cannot touch-" "Let me remind you that I am the only one who is studying and keeping the orb." Rika glared. "That jewel poses a threat to the living world. It is dangerous and will be contained in the castle. Now let me remind YOU that you are a criminal. It wouldn't be too hard for you to take the orb and-" "Although I hate to admit it, I no longer have any intention of destorying this world. It's already doomed anyway." Rika interupted and looked out the window. Clouds had covered the sky by now. As she staired it began to rain. Rika frowned in frustration. "Let's continue then...As we know, the orb's dark power cannot use unless in a high area. For example, a mountain, or maybe even the top of a skyscraper." Koenma continued. "So why didn't Atamis just use the orb in the city?" Yusuke asked. "Maybe he couldn't find a building big enough and gave up before looking far enough." Botan said. "Or maybe he wanted you to find the orb and take it." Koenma said. "What!?" Kuwabara nearly jumped out of his seat. "Rika had said she felt herself dying when the orb entered her. Maybe Atamis knew that, but didn't know her power would increase while the orb was inside of her." Koenma explained, "Though as I've said the orb is dangerous, no matter who's hands it's in. For the time being I think it would be safer if Rika would stay with Yusuke." Koenma said. Rika spun around, "WHAT!?" "WHAT!?!" Hiei glared. "As you know, Atamis is still on the lose. I don't think even with Hiei you can beat him." Koenma said and Hiei glared even harder at him. At this point, Hiei had hoped off the sill and his fists were tightly clentched. He looked as though he was going to blow a fuse, "NO WAY IS SHE STAYING WITH THAT IRRISPONSIBLE PRIMITIVE MONKEY AND SON OF A-" "It's out of my hands, Hiei. I know you'd want her to be with you, but Yusuke can provide more portection. Especially since she as the orb, she will be at a greater risk of being attacked. This is only temporary. When we capture Atamis, she will no longer have to stay there." Koenma interupted, but Hiei didn't seem to listen seeing as Rika had to hold him back from attacking Koenma. Couldn't say Yusuke was too happy either, "KOENMA! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!" "Yusuke, it's only temorary. SO why don't you two stop acting like children and accepte it!" Botan scolded. "I refuse to be in the same place as that monkEy!!!" Rika shouted. "MONKEY!?! YEAH WELL AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE TO STAND ONTOP OF A PHONE BOOK JUST TO LOOK MY ENEMY IN THE EYE!!" "WHY YOU LITTLE-" "STOP IT YOU TWO!!" Botan interveined. "STAY OUT OF THIS UNLESS YOU WANT ME TO BREAK YOU!!!" Hiei yelled in her face. She staired nevously at him with a sweat drop. Then Hiei stepped in front of Rika and looked Yusuke straight in the eye, "I swear detective, if ANYTHING happens to her I will personally hunt you down and make sure your death is painful!" Yusuke didn't seem intimidated, but just walked back over to the couch and sat down. Hiei and Rika glared for a second before sitting back down. Koenma's eyes shifted, "Well I'm sure I'm not the only one who can sence the tention in the room. Botan, let's go." he hopped out of the chair and began to walk out. "But Koenma, what about the orb!?" Kurama called to him. Koenma peeked back to the orb on the table, "Yes...try to find out what you can about it and report to me as soon as possible. Rika will need to be in the city by tommorrow." then he left.

  Rika glared, then hopped up, "Ok, for one thing, I'm not staying in your house." "Fine...." Yusuke didn't bother to look at her, let alone care. "Maybe it's not suce a good idea to stay at Yusuke's home. Atamis would easily find you." Kurama pointed out. "Yeah, maybe you should sta at that hotel down town." Kuwabara suggested. "No freakin' way." Rika glared. "Or maybe you should stay with me." A female voice came from the door. Rika turned quickly at the familiar voice to her, and saw a familer face. "No....way....." she looked as though she had seen a ghost until her face lit up.
 A girl with long, brown hair and bangs stood in the door way. She had beautiful brown eyes and wore a green sleeveless shirt with one strap and white designs. Then light brown capries with brown boots.
 "KARINA!" Rika jumped up, "But I thought you were-" "No, no, no." the girl giggled, "You can't assume I'd die that easily. For some time I thought you were dead, then I realized you'd be too smart for that. How can you so easily assume I'd be dumb enough to get myself killed after all that?" Rika couldn't help but smirk, though it looked more like a goofy smile, "Sorry, how could I forget? I thought you'd get bored." "Nah.....well I did....and became a jewel thief." Karina said. Rika went all chibilike, "Your a jewel thief too!? Humph...no wounder half the stuff I wanted was already gone when I was in the demon world....You GOTTA show me your stash!" she pleaded. "Fine, but first you show me yours." Karina winked. Rika nodded in excitment, but then a pulsation mark pounded on her forehead because Hiei had been poking her. She spun around, "WHAT!?" Hiei pulled her to the other end of the room and jabbed his thumb toward Karina, "You mind explaining this?" "Oh...right." Then she walked to the middle of the room, "This is Karina. She's a friend of mine from when I was a child. She's also a member of the Tokusen." Rika said. Everyone but Hiei blinked. Kuwabara raised his hand a little, "I...have a question." Rika glared, "What?" "How many demons are in the....er...Tokusen?" he asked. "Seven...." Karina said, "Master is the top Tokusen. You know...the T." "The....T?" Kurama questioned. "Yeah, seven members of the Tokusen, seven letters. We're classified in strength by spelling the word out. The strounger the person, the closer they are to the T." Rika explained. "So there are others strounger then you!?" Kuwabara freaked. Rika turned her head, not wanting to admit it. "Yeah...but only three before the T....Of course, I'm classified as the E....so I'm a bit weaker...." Karina said. Everyone, but Rika, was just stairing at her. "Eh...o..k. Um, Rika, could you summon Karisuto for me?" Rika looked at her, "Why?" "I have a little gift for her." Karina smirked. Rika shook her head and just said, "Fine." She drew the mirror circle needed for summoning Karisuto and activated it.
  Meanwhile, in Karisuto's mirror....she was speaking with someone, "What do you wish to see?" "I want to see where the Sword of Askavitch is currently being held." A female voice said. Karisuto smiled, "As you wish." she she waved her paw over the image of the mirror in front of her. She wore a smile on her face, "All the thieves remind me of-Uh...oh." She looked into a mirror that poped up next to her, "AH! RIKA! I was just thinking of you!" "Cut the chit-chat and get out of there. Karina is here and she want's to give you something." Rika said. "KARINA!" Karisuto nearly jumped for joy, "I can't belive she's still alive." Then she stood up and went through the mirror, coming into the living area that the team was in. The mirror dissapearing behind her. "AH! KARINA! So good to see you again!" Karisuto said. "It's good to see you too!" Karina agreed, picked her up, and gave her a hug. Then putting Karisuto back down, Karina leaned forward and said, "Rika's not the only one who'll meet up with an old friend today." Then she turned and walked to the door, Karisuto was a tad confused though. Karina opened the door, just a little and shouted popped out from outside the door, "You can come in now." Karina said, and she stood to the side. Suddenly, something peeked it's green, fuzzy snout though the door. That's when a green, fluffy fox came through the door way. She looked kinda like Karisuto, besides a few puffs of fur and the fact she was green instead of blue.

  Karisuto jumped around and laughed as she pranced over. The two foxes jumped in circles around each other and played for a bit before stopping. "AH! It's good to see you again!" Karisuto beamed. "It's great to see you, too!" the green fox agreed in a nearly English accsent. "Great...more strangers..." Yusuke mumbled. Karisuto giggled, "This is Aurora. Aurora, this is the Urameshi Team. You know, everyone I've been telling you about." "AH! YES! Now...Let me guess." Aurora walked up to the team, "Yusuke." she smiled at him. "Hey." he said. Then she strolled over to the next person, "You must be Kuwabara." she looked at him in an odd way. "You got that right!" he laughed. "Hm...definitly ugly like Karisuto said." Aurora mumbled and Kuwabara nearly fell over. Then he glared at Karisuto and she shrank behind Rika.
Aurora giggled then continued, "Kurama. It's always nice to meet a fellow kitsune." She had jumped up on the arm of the chair and stuck her paw out. Kurama shook hands, or rather paw and hand, with her and said, "It's nice to meet you too." She nodded and jumped down, then trotted over to the window sil, "YOU must be Hiei. If I'm not mistaken, your Rika's lov-" she was cut shrot by Hiei's evil glare. Aurora laughed innocently and backed up slowly. Rika couldn't help but giggled just a little. As Aurora had gone around the room, so had Karina and shook hands and met with each member of the team, except Hiei who she just nodded to. Karina turned back to the rest of the group, "Anyway, comming to see Rika again's no the only reason I cam here." she looked a little more serious this time. "Then what is?" Kuwabara asked. "I've senced a powerful demon who has been comming back and forth t the living world. Not to meantion Master is gathering up all the members of the Tokusen again..." She mumbled the part about their master recruting them. Rika's eye twitched, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!" she would have fallen over if Hiei didn't catch her. Karina blinked, "Uhhh......what's wrong?" Rika slipped out of Hiei's arms and slowlysat on the floor with her legs crossed and her hands over her eyes, "I did not expect this...I did NOT expect this at all.........." She sighed and put her hands in her lap. "Why are you so upset? It's not like it's the end of the world." Karina said. "How easily you forget. I SWORE that I would be the one to replace Takeshi by the time I saw the group again..." "Ooooo....Did it HAVE to be Takeshi? Why-Why not Myou. I mean sure he's O and Takeshi is the K, but still! OR! Why not even Kokoro! She U, she'd be easier. Though Myou's not as ruthless as Takeshi! I'd bet Takeshi is a hired assasin or-or a cerial killer in the demon world at this point!" Karina fummed. "Spare me the bull, both you and I know, along with the other Tokusen, that we are strictly prohibited to leak information into any of the three worlds about the Tokusen unless we know the people whom we talk to can keep our secret. Takeshi isn't dumb enough to do that. Becoming something like an assasin or killer would ruin our secret for sure." Rika explained. "Hmm...your right....DARN! For once I'd wish he was the stupid one...unfortunetly that title belongs to Nishiki..." Karina groaned. "Though in reality Nishiki isn't all that dumb. Just young." Karisuto said. "Young? How young?" Kurama asked. "Well he's the youngest of the Tokusen, he's also the N." Rika said. "He's rather adorable when he's angry." Aurora laughed. Rika giggled slightly with a slight smile, "I suppose I'd enjoy a little reunioun with them." "GREAT! 'Cuase....we kinda need to go to the Mystic Meadow." Karina neglected to meantion. Rika eyed her, "Your REEEEEEAAAALLY starting to get me angry." Karina giggled innocently. The others looked at one another. Then Karina peeked over to them, "Oh...of course you guys are welcome to come." "Uhh...sure..." Yusuke said as though a little unsure.
