About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

Agonystez here is also known as Bloodbath. Any idea why? In this amazing picture, [Ryftwalker] portrays the former assasin and mercenary for hire on a hunt to erradicate a caravan said to contain some of the members of the orc clan that killed his wife many years ago. Since her death, he had joined the Brothers of Basquina, a band dedicated to saving mankind. Here, he waits, with incredible patience, his blade "Anguish" firmly in hand, ready....It's an amazing picture, with an amazing story. The lighting on the fantastically done golden armour is impressive, and the blood splattered all over our trouble hero looks realistic and believable. And it really makes me pleased that I'm not an orc!
