A veteran detective and stallion on the NYPD's 17th Precinct. Not only is he Aya's senior partner, he is also probably the only father figure Aya has ever known. He is very protective of her and his son and will go out of his way to ensure their safety. Years ago he gave up the opportunity to become Captain because he believes as a cop, his place is out working on the streets, catching the bad guys, not cooped up in an office doing paperwork all day. He divorced his wife Lorraine in '97 and now raises their eight year old son Ben by himself.
