X-Men Time
Monday, May 25th
René pushed his way through the door and into his room, blowing out a huge breath of air as he cheeks puffed up. "First damn time I get a girl to come back here with me and she passes out," the man mumbled to himself as he carried Lire over to his bed. He carefully laid her down on the soft mattress and stepped back a bit, looking at the unconscious mutant. What the hell was he supposed to do now? Rubbing his hands together somewhat nervously, René moved over to the other side of the bed and took a seat. He was missing the party right now, but he couldn't leave the poor girl by herself to wake up alone in some stranger's room.
Lire groaned as she started gaining consciousness then suddenly remembered what had happened. "Shit." She muttered as she realized she must of fainted and almost immediately she felt her cheeks start to burn with embarrassment. That had never happened before and she silently realized she must of been hallucinating. She turned her head and caught sight of René, she could feel her cheeks getting hotter as she realized he must have carried her. "I'm sorry, I don't what happened." She said as she gingerly felt her head for the bump she knew must be there.
That didn't take long. No sooner than René had taken a seat was Lire conscious and talking. He raised a brow, trying to hide a grin as the girl seemed completely disoriented and unaware of what she had seen. "No worries," the man replied as he leaned back against the headboard, one leg on the bed and the other on the ground. "You, uh... met one of the mutants downstairs. But don't worry, he gives everyone that kind of reaction. Or somethin' similar. He is sort of.... a floatin'.. skull." René's lips were tight as he awaited the unbelieving reply from Lire, looking down at her sprawled out on his bed.
"He's just a skull?"
Lire repeated as a wave of relief went through her. Thank god it wasn't a hallucination but wait... "How does that work? Is he alive?" She asked disbelievingly
. It was hard to imagine how that would work but as long as he wasn't hovering over her, she was willing to sit still and take in the information. She wasn't paying much attention until she noticed him looking down at her and then realized where she was laying. She immediately sat up and swung her legs over the edge but then had to stop for a moment, using him to steady herself. Her head hurt and she still felt dizzy but she'd felt distinctively self-conscious laying in his bed especially since, in her memory, it was the first time she'd even been in a guy's room.
René gave a definite nod, affirming that what he had said was true. "He's... alive. Sort of. He's a telepath. I think he mentioned that his body is gone, but his mind is still alive, in a sense. That is how he is able to talk and float and just use his powers in general," explained the man, not really catching the uncomfortableness that Lire exuded as she sat up quickly. He wasn't intended to try anything on her - he might have enjoyed sex quite a bit but he wasn't a complete lecher. "It's kind of complicated, and I'm not sure how it works, myself. But don't worry, Tim's a good guy. He won't hurt you."
Lire nodded as she listened to him speak. "I'll give him a chance." She said, more as if reassuring herself, the shock of seeing him had brought her nightmares back up to the surface and she was still feeling a bit unnerved. "Soo... Can I change now?" She asked as she stood up and picked up her backpack. She was wearing part of her bathing suit already so she went ahead and pulled off her tank top revealing the emerald green bikini top. She grinned and made a motion with her finger, "Turn around for a moment please?" She asked as she pulled out the bottom portion of the skirt and a pair of flip flops.
"I think he would appreciate that," René replied with a nod when Lire conceded to being kind to Tim. He lifted a brow as the girl asked to change then immediately began to strip, and he gave a slight cough. "There's a, uhm. Bathroom. With a door." He looked at Lire expectantly, wondering if she would take his offer to change behind closed doors. "But if you insist," he added, yanking up a pillow from the bed and placing it over his face in a rather comical fashion. "Ah campht see threw thifs."
Lire grinned though of course he couldn't see her. "Don't suffocate yourself." She said as she looked over at the bathroom. She hadn't realized it and she was suddenly feeling incredibly awkward. Fuck. Screw it. She decided to push through her blunder and finish what she'd started, especially since he already had a pillow on his face. She quickly slipped out of her shorts and tied the skirt around her waist, then pulled out the container for her contacts and took them out and tucked them back into her bag before pulling out a dark pair of sunglasses, the last thing she wanted to do was accidentally freeze someone so she placed them firmly on her nose. "Ok, I'm ready." She said and tapped his knee.
René lifted the pillow away from his face just enough so that he could breath easily and speak clearly. "Really? You're not gonna use the bathroom?" the man jested, shaking his head and sighing loudly as a way to tease Lire. "What a mess." He waited patiently for his friend to finish changing, and once she announced that she was done, René promptly pulled the pillow down, setting it in his lap. "Oh, god," he said suddenly after glancing at Lire, throwing the pillow up to his face again. He was joking, of course, trying to get the girl to laugh a little.
Lire giggled, "That bad?" She asked teasingly as she watched him hide under the pillow again. She was smiling as she leaned down and lifted the corner of the pillow and peeked underneath. "Are you going to hide in here all day now?" She asked jokingly with a happy smile. She was feeling better, he had always been easy to talk to, a fact she was happy for. Smiling a bit to herself she reached over and lightly poked his side.
"There's a half-naked woman in my room!" René exclaimed in response to Lire, keeping the pillow pressed to his face. He was silent for a moment, even as she questioned his choice to stay inside or go back out, but when he sense the girl moving closer, he reacted quicker than she could probably see. Feeling her finger drawing near, René reached out with his hand, snatching the girl's wrist between her fingers and pulled her closer, tossing her playfully down onto the bed as he simultaneously stood. "I'm heading out," he said with a grin as he tossed the pillow on to the bed and walked towards the door. "You gonna sleep all day?" he asked, pausing with his hand on the door handle.
Lire felt him move rather than saw and almost managed to flinch away. She was fast but he was considerably faster and she let out a surprised yelp as the room suddenly spun around her and she was suddenly sprawled ungracefully on the mattress. She laid there for a short moment as she regained her bearings and then shot up, "Only if you join me!" She countered teasingly and stood up before he actually took her seriously. Her glasses had gone flying and she quickly scooped them up and replaced them. She was enjoying the attention. She didn't know if she was a virgin or not, though judging by the tattoos and nightmares, she was assuming it was a resounding no. Either way she was starting to think she may not exactly mind finding out with him especially if he talked in french. She blushed at the thought and ran her hand through her hair and ducked her face to fiddle with her bag before joining him at the door. "Whenever you're ready." She offered, standing a few steps behind him.
René grinned triumphantly from his spot at over the bed as Lire fell trap to his trick. As he stood waiting by the door, he raised an eyebrow as she gave her terms for going to the pool. "Where does it look like I'm going?" the man replied as he held his hands out, motioning towards the only article of clothing he had on, swimming trunks. He waited as the girl retrieved her glasses, then opened the door and waved his hand through, directing the girl out of the room. "Ladies first."
"Thank you." Lire said with a smile and a nod as she walked past him and out into the X-Men East 2nd.
René gave a polite bow of his head as Lire walked by him, then followed the mutant out to X-Men East 2nd.
Lire peeked into the room and then, relieved to see she'd picked the right one, stepped inside and closed the door. She swayed slightly as she looked for her backpack and then slipped out of her wet bathing suit and started rummaging through her bag in search of her underwear. It didn't take long before she was slipping into a dark red bra and jade-colored panties and then back into her shirt and shorts. As she dressed herself she yawned and realized that she was feeling a bit queasy. She glanced at the bed and chewed her lip thoughtfully. She'd just lay down for a few moments, she wouldn't take a nap, just close her eyes and hope the room would stop spinning, so she did.
Lire whimpered as she stared at a girl standing in front of her. It may as well had been a clone but the other girl's eyes were cold and dead and her hair was long and black. Lire looked down at her hands and flinched when she realized her hands were covered in blood. She looked for the girl and realized that she was looking in a mirror. She jolted awake and stared silently up at the ceiling for several moments before standing up. She wanted to go to her apartment... she needed her pills. She made herself stand and crossed the room to her bag. It was unlikely but she may still have some pills on her. She tore through her bag and, after finding nothing, she left the contents scattered on the floor. The alcohol was still strong in her system and she swayed towards the bathroom. René hadn't mentioned any medication but she was desperate to get herself into a haze. Thankfully she did get far into the search before she realized that they had alcohol. She turned and walked out the door into X-Men East 2nd.
