Duke's 'Poetry'

Try as I might to disguise whatever useless excuse for writing I put on here as Poetry, I will invariably fail. But in the spirit of putting effort into at least something, here you go.

1~ One-Track Mind
_{These words are illusion,

Delusions - a simple space-age fusion -

The power we harness but never truly witness,

A spectral wish, a

whispered kiss -

Lying,

Our secret torment -

Their open salvation.

A broken scream in the night of life,

We mumble regrets, we

cry our pardons.

Let almighty hell be our auspicious inventor.

(Let the heavenly Might be our disgusted 'maker.)

Meet we them as our only selves -

Entrust them us with the sinful desired.

Away from all precocious manner -

We slip.}
