2011-10-04 [Alexi Ice]: Magic
2011-10-04 [Paul Doyle]: Sammie, neither of my pics made it. Yet I do not hold a grudge. First of all, I am a novice photographer, so novice I didn't bother removing the date data from my photos. Also, I have an old digicam and I don't have any Photoshop skills (I'd rather not retouch photos to begin with, but that's just me).
Be grateful and happy for all of these fine photos and their photographers, whether they made the front page or not.
In my example, the evening the pictures were taken will be etched into my memory for far longer than the photos themselves. Why? Because seeing a wonderfully lit, strangely shaped cloud in person (the cumulus mammatus forming behind dying thunderstorms, in my pictures' cases) is far more breathtaking than the photos themselves. Also, I was hanging outside with my wife and son on a pleasant summer evening (even doing a Youtube book update, where you can plainly see the strangely shaped clouds in the background) and I will cherish that kind of simple, fun and innocent memory forever. :)
2011-10-05 [kians mummy]: I do not hold a grudge, I apologize about my rudeness, but I am sick of people thinking I'm some badge hunter when I'm not, I just ask questions, its rude to assume things about someone.
2011-10-05 [windowframe]: You mean like you assumed I thought you were still badge-hunting? ;) Assuming things about other people is how most of us get by every day (e.g., I assume that person behind me is also going to walk through the same door I just did, so I hold it open for them). Most assumptions are harmless. I think the problem with assumptions comes when you start assuming things about other people's motives. The world would be a better place if we all gave the benefit of the doubt more often. :)
2011-10-05 [kians mummy]: You automatically thought I ment badges, forget it, not arguing
2011-10-05 [windowframe]: No, I didn't. That's why I started the sentence with "If you're asking about badges..." because I didn't assume I knew specifically what you were asking about, so I just provided info which might be relevant. Apology accepted, though. ;)
2011-10-05 [Lord Josmar]: Im a badge farmer...I love badges. Does that make me a bad person? No. It does not.
2011-10-06 [Blaithin]: Actually it does. Really you're a terrible, horrible person. We just don't tell you it to your face because you're so bad :o
2011-10-06 [Lord Josmar]: That...that hurt...Hurt deep.
2011-11-01 [Lord Josmar]: Congrats! Good photo.
2011-11-02 [kians mummy]: How come this badge has not been given out as of yet??
2011-11-02 [Nioniel]: We're working on it, Sammie.
2011-11-02 [kians mummy]: Ok then, thanks x
2011-11-02 [Nioniel]: Yup. :)
2011-11-02 [Alexi Ice]: Yay! Congrats to the winner ! I really LOOOOVVVVEEE that picture!!
2011-11-02 [Alexi Ice]: Oh, and BAM! Second place <3 Thank you, Disney World. lol
2011-11-02 [kians mummy]: Its a lovely pic hun
2011-11-02 [kians mummy]: Your welcome
2011-11-02 [Lord Josmar]: It's all rigged. You didn't take into account any users who may be out of the country...or off the planet.
2013-08-31 [Slayer Chick]: when will we have another competition??? :(
