When me and my friends visited the old, small town Dali outside Kun Ming we stopped to see the magnificent Three Pagodas. They were Buddhistic towers of a kind that in old times covered this landscape surrounded by mountains, but the communists - dislikers of all kind of religious things - tore most of them down. Now there are only these three left in this area. I was immidiately captured by the magic and beauty of the biggest one. I just couldn't take my eyes off it. I think it was the special design, and that it had so much more of a simple beauty compared to the gold-covered and colorfully decorated temples and buildings that we saw elsewhere. They were beautiful, too, but this was different. I love old buildings with this kind of unique look, empty houses or buildings that stand alone, has got some story to tell. I'm going to try to draw it, and I'm putting up this photos here also for inspiration to artists and writers.
