This be the castle grounds, I figure I'll make my house (err... castle anyway) A little easier and create seperate wikis, even though they probably won't get used too much just yet ;)
Looking down upon the outskirts of town from the crest of a tall hill stands an elegantly aged Castle draped in green tendrils of ivy that stretch to its Clock Tower, the tallest point of the castle. It’s got modern accommodations including electric lamps curving up the hill towards the castle, though it still holds an air of power and mystery.
The castle, however, has a lonely feel to it because Elyria lives in and takes care of it by herself. It's generally pristine and tidy, though some of the messier rooms are kept locked.
There's a small garden in front of the castle that Elyria tends daily, she enjoys growing most of her own foods.
On the other side of the hill behind the castle the woods are thick and dark in appearance, and a single path leads into them...
Once they'd entered the grounds Elyria closed the gates, locking them again from the inside.
Gabriel looked up at the castle. "Woah..." he said, unable to say anything different.
Elyria turned and gazed up at the castle silently, a distant look in her eyes, "Well, we'd best head up then."
Gabrile smiled softly. "Good idea." he said, following Elyria.
Elyria led him up to the front door and quickly unlocked it, "Well... don't mind the clutter lying around... I haven finished cleaning up..." She murmured.
Gabriel laughed lightly. "That's alright. You should see my place!" he smirked, looking around.
"Haha, well... let's see... there should be a bathroom where you can get yourself cleaned up..." Elyria said thoughtfully, opening several doors before she finally found the right one, "Ah! Here it is." She chuckled.
Gabriel laughed. "The joy of a new house" he said softly, not really knowing what having a new house felt like. He disappeared into the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror. He pulled the last of the blue feathers from his white wings, and his hair. He smiled softly at himself in the mirror, then turned and left to find Elyria.
Elyria was waiting outside, leaning against the far wall, "Figured I'd wait." She said softly.
"Thanks" Gabriel answered, smiling softly at Elyria. "So, now where to?"
"The kitchen area, it's one of the warmest and homey rooms in here..." Elyria replied, pushing yet another door open that led down a short hallway and into the kitchen.
Gabriel followed Elyria, looking around and smiling widely.
Elyria slipped out onto the grounds and stopped, looking around in search of whoever had been injured.
Gabriel came out and stopped right beside her, looking around. "It came from that way I think" he said, unfolding his large white wings and flying abit above the ground he lifted Elyria gently by the arms and quickly flew over towards where the noise had come from.
"Yeah... I think I see somebody!" Elyria pointed quickly.
Gabriel went over and gently put Elyria on the ground. He went right over to the figure lying on the ground and leaned over.
Elyria made her way slowly towards him, "Are they alright?" She asked worriedly.
Gabriel shook his head. "I-I don't know..." he muttered softly, standing. "I-I can't tell..."
"I'll check," Elyria murmured, kneeling beside the man, there was a rustling in the brush nearby, but she ignored it.
Gabriel glanced around, but looked back down at Elyria and the man.
Elyria looked up as a twig snapped nearby and caught sight of several figures that quite suddenly had the two of them surrounded.
Gabriel looked around, then at Elyria. "Now what?" he asked, stepping close to her.
"I don't know..." she shook her head as she looked between them all, "What do you want?"
Gabriel continued looking around, then down at the man on the ground.
"We came for the unicorn and the mayor's son." One of them sneered.
"Unicorn?" Gabriel asked. "And..." he cleared his throat nervously. "Mayor's son?? W-Who's th-that?"
"Come on!!!" Another of the men exclaimed. "Stop playing games"
"Playing games?
Boy, don't think that we are so foolish as to not realize who you and the girl are." A second man said darkly.
Elyria shrank back slightly, hiding herself behind Gabriel.
"You leave her alone!" Gabriel exclaimed angrily.
Want out Damion? he asked inside his head. He closed his eyes and after a moment, opened them. Damion looked at the man. "What do you want with us?" he asked, stepping closer to the men talking to him.
"It's already been explained, now I'd suggest you come quietly." Was the reply.
Damion smirked and put a hand behind his back. "What if I wanna make noise?" he asked teasingly. He pulled his large black scythe from behind him and held it up in front of his face.
"Be careful..." Elyria murmured, eyeing their own weapons worriedly from her position near the unconscious man.
"Gonna try and take us all on, boy?" Laughter filtered around them raucously.
Damion raised an eyebrow. "Wouldn't be that hard... one swipe of my scythe would take you losers out in an instance"
The laughter grew louder before fading away, "One swipe of your scythe? Don't get cocky, kid."
Damion sighed, still smirking evilly. He swung his scythe effortlessly at the men.
The injured men sat up slightly and looked around. He looked at Elyria, then at Damion.
Elyria ducked further behind Damion, inadvertently moving closer to the unconscious man, "Why can't you all just go away?"
"They won't leave until you and the Mayor's son go with them" the injured man stuttered, having difficulty talking. He laid back on the ground and breathed heavily.
Elyria jumped in surprise and looked at the man, "Who are you?" She asked softly, "How come you're hurt?" She kept a wary eye on the men around them.
"I-I'm one of them.. they... they didn't like that I rebelled against them... th-they tried to kill me" the man said, struggling for breath.
"Then... technically you really aren't one of them anymore..." Elyria said.
"I.. In a way.. yes" the man answered, closing his eyes.
"You should get him inside" Damion said plainly, swinging his scythe at more of the men.
Elyria nodded at Damion and boosted the man up, "How so?" She asked.
"I-I stil think you should go with them if you want peace" the man said plainly.
Damion moved fast so he was staring straight into the man's face. "Do you want me to put you out of your misery right here and now??"
Elyria turned the man away from Damion and said to the man calmly, "Why would I go with men who would just end up killing me anyway?"
Damion sighed and turned to swipe away more of the men. :Just get the idiot inside"
"I'm going..." Elyria frowned at him, making her way towards the front door.
"Good! I'll take care of them!!!" Damikon exclaimed, turning to the rest of the men. "Now are you lot gonna get going?? Or do I have to kill you some more?"
Elyria closed the door behind herself and the man, and after she'd set him gently down she moved swiftly to a small window to watch the happenings outside.
The man stood up slowly and came over beside Elyria, looking out. "Th-That guy's got guts... ta-taking em all on l-like that"
Damion turned away from the men and started walking toward the castle. He put his scythe back over his back and sighed deeply, an annoyed look on his face.
The men gathered all together behind Damion and moved fast, tackling him.
"Spineless..." Elyria's voice was low and shook slightly, a flicker of shadow overtaking her form for only a moment before she turned, looking for something that would due as a weapon, she hefted a small but heavy ornament into her grasp and slipped back out the door, approaching the men that had tackled her companion.
She tossed the object lightly in hand, a small smirk lining her lips, "Wanna play?" She said in a teasing voice, stopping near them.
She drew her hand back and let fly the ornament, catching one of the men a glancing blow to the head. He groaned and slumped uselessly to the ground.
Damion jumped up fast. He went to grab his scythe, but found it had been taken from him. He looked around but found that one of the men now held it threateningly at him.
Elyria narrowed her eyes, which had darkened to a deep, mahogany color, though they still swirled in an everdarkening manner. She took several steps towards the one that had taken Damion's scythe, when he looked at her he grew slightly nervous but did not let up his grip on the weapon.
She wrapped her fingers around the blade, oblivious to the wound it opened upon the palm of her hand, "Release it." She said crisply, and his fingers loosed it to her grasp.
Damion watched closely. He stepped forward and grabbed his scythe from Elyria. He held it up to the remaining men.
Elyria shook her head slowly, trying to clear her muddled thoughts, which were sinking further from her grasp despite her best efforts.
Damion grabbed Elyria's shoulder. "Come on, inside before they decide to call reinforcements
"
Elyria nodded slowly as her vision faded back to blue, "Y-yeah." She said agreeably, "We'll be safer inside..."
Damion nodded and kept a hand on Elyria's shoulder while leading her inside.
As soon as they'd reentered Elyria turned and bolted the large door shut.
Damion closed his eyes and turned back to Gabriel. He put the scythe away and looked at the injured man. "Are you alright?" he asked kindly.
"There are some spare rooms upstairs," Elyria said, approaching as well, "I wouldn't mind letting you use one to recover..."
The injured man nodded slowly, sitting back down. "That'd be great, thanks" he answered quietly. He leaned back in pain.
Gabriel smiled. "I'll help him up there" he said, sprouting his wings.
Elyria nodded, "I'll just... start locking everything up..." She murmured.
Gabriel nodded and gently lifted the man up. He flew up into the air and flew upstairs.
Elyria slowly made her way along the lower floor, locking any door or window that she could find that would lead outside, she clasped her wounded hand to her side silently as she moved to the stairs leading to the second floor.
Gabriel laid the man on a bed, then came back to find Elyria. "Need help?" he asked once he found her.
"I've gotten everything locked up on the first floor, now comes the second, third, and the keep..." She said softly.
"I'll start on the third floor" Gabriel said, turning toward the stairs.
"Okay," Elyria nodded, "Be careful though... we don't know what those guys are capable of at this point..."
"They don't scare me" Gabriel muttered, disappearing upstairs.
Once Elyria finished with the second floor she moved up the stairs to help Gabriel with the third floor.
Gabriel was nearly finished with the third. He smiled. "I can finish here.. if you want to go and lock up the keep" he said, smiling softly.
Elyria nodded, "Okay," She said, making her way to the winding stairs and running quickly to the door that lead into the keep.
Gabriel kept locking up windows and such until he was finished. He went upstairs to the keep fast.
