This room is elegant and set on the first floor. The walls are plastered over and painted a light beige color, and the floor is thickly carpeted in black.
There are multiple instruments scattered about the room- a white baby grand piano, several guitars of different style (bass, electric, and accoustic), and an oddly shaped flute-style instrument that is set just above a grand fireplace that often has a merry fire crackling in its midst.
There are shelves upon shelves of sheet music, put in an order that only Elyria seems to understand and can find what she needs.
Elyria sat down at the piano, shifting the sheet music that rested near it so that she could read it properly and set her fingers over the keys. The notes that filtered throughtout the room and the castle itself was hauntingly beautiful.
Gabriel followed the sound of the piano echoing throughout the castle. He smiled softly, still forcing his evil side away. He stopped in the doorway to the music room and listened to Elyria play.
After a few minutes of playing Elyria's fingers drew out the finishing notes, she sighed softly and stood, gathering up the sheets before moving over to the shelves near the piano. She pulled out a small folder and slipped the papers in before seeking out another booklet. As she turned to head back to her seat she gave a small start upon seeing Gabriel, "I didn't here you come in..." She murmured.
Gabriel smirked. "Yea, I tend to have that effect on people!" he chuckled lightly.
"Do you play anything?" She asked curiously, setting the sheet music up as she spoke.
Gabriel shook his head. "No.. well.. yea.." he looked down at the floor. "It's cheesy though..."
"What is it?" Elyria asked curiously.
Gabriel blushed lightly. "Well.. my dad.. he.. he taught me how to play the harp..." he smiled lightly.
"I personally do not know how to play the harp... but it's a lovely instrument." Elyria replied.
Gabriel looked at Elyria with a soft look in his eyes. "You don't think it's corny for a guy to enjoy playing the harp?"
"No of course not, why would I think it's corny?" Elyria asked, cocking her head to the side slightly.
Gabriel sighed lightly. "You're the first who thinks so... everyone else thinks it's dumb" he answered, coming into the room and sitting on a chair.
"Well, everyone else is lame." Elyria replied, "It's good to know how to play instruments with beautiful sound quality..."
Gabriel nodded. "You don't... possibly have one around here.. do you?" he asked quietly.
"I'm not sure really... There might be one stored somewhere around here..." Elyria said, looking thoughtful.
"Mind if I go exploring?" Gabriel asked, smirking and walking around the room.
"Go ahead," Elyria replied, "I don't mind."
Gabriel nodded and started to go exploring through a small storage room in the music room. It was more of a closet.
Elyria set herself to playing the piano again, a different, slower tune as she hummed to herself just below the level of sound emmitting from the piano.
Gabriel searched in the small closet thing. He came back out holding a guitar. He smiled at Elyria sweetly, listening to the playing.
After a moment Elyria realized that she couldn't hear Gabriel rummaging around in the storage room anymore, without turning she spoke, "Find what you were looking for?"
"Not really.. but I found something I DO play" Gabriel answered, holding up the guitar.
"Ah, guitars are fun." Elyria smiled, "You play that as well? I've got some tabs over on the shelves if you want something to play..."
Gabriel shrugged. "sure, why not." he smiled, sitting on a chair and strumming a few chords.
"Anything you've got in mind to play?" Elyria asked.
Gabriel shrugged. "Anything really.. it doesn't matter" he smiled softly. "I'm not picky.."
"Well, come look for something..." Elyria suggested.
Gabriel nodded and went over to stand beside Elyria. He looked at the tabs. "What do you suggest?"
"Hmm... something not so rough on the ears since it's late..." Elyria shrugged, fingering through the papers.
Gabriel nodded and sat, waiting for her to find something. He began playing a soft tune on the guitar.
"Ah, here... it's a simple tune to play, and I think it'll actually go well with the melody I'm playing on the piano..."
Gabriel took the tabs and smiled, nodding. "Ok, sure" he smiled and examined the tabs carefully.
"Can you play it then?" Elyria asked, setting herself back up at the piano.
"Oh yea! It'll be no problem" Gabriel answered, setting the sheet down and placing the guitar on his lap.
"Oh, that's good," Elyria smiled, fixing the sheets in front of the piano, "Whenever you're ready."
Gabriel grinned. "You want me to start?" he asked, positioning his hand so he was ready to play.
"That would be great, just play the first measure twice, okay?" Elyria asked.
Gabriel smiled. "Sounds good" he said softly, beginning to play.
As he started into the repeat of the first measure, Elyria began to play as well.
Gabriel continued playing, smiling happily as he did.
Elyria sighed happily as the song ended and pulled the cover down over the keys of the piano, "I'm gonna head up to bed, you can continue playing if you want." She murmured.
Gabriel had stopped playing and was looking at his now sore fingers. "No, it's alright." he leaned the guitar on the ground, but against the wall and stretched. He yawned at the same time, and stood up. "I think I'm going to hit the hay also..."
"Okay then, night," Elyria said with a soft smile.
Gabriel smirked, then stepped over to Elyria fast. He kissed her on the cheek quickly, then headed to his room, blushing lightly.
Elyria touched her cheek in surprise, a light blush spreading over her cheeks as she quickly moved out of the music room and up to her own.
Elyria's first stop was the music room, she had felt a strange breeze slipping up from under the door, and when she opened it she saw that the window had been shattered. She frowned and stepped into the room, jumping when the door slammed shut behind her.
She came back to her senses a while later, her head throbbing and a numbing pain sweeping through her torso. Elyria nearly grew ill at the gruesome sight that filled the music room.
Gabriel walked down the hall beside the music room. "Elyria?? You down here??" he called gently.
"G-Gabriel?" Elyria stumbled out of the room.
Gabriel turned to look at Elyria fast. "Elyria!! Are you ok?? Did they hurt you in any way?" he asked, putting his hands on her shoulders.
"Did who? I-I don't know..." She shook her head, "Those people back in the room?"
Gabriel nodded. "Yes.. them.. what happened??"
"I don't know..." Elyria shook her head, "They're all dead though..."
"I see that" Gabriel muttered softly. "The ones downstairs left.. pretty quickly."
"Perhaps they were frightened of you?" Elyria suggested, pulling the door to the music room closed.
Gabriel shrugged. "It wasn't me fighting them.. I couldn't have handled them. It was Damion..." he answered.
"Well then, they were frightened of him." Elyria corrected herself, "Either way they're gone... Perhaps we should go out somewhere safer?"
Gabriel nodded fast. "I agree.. that would be the smartest thing to do" he said.
"Where to?" Elyria questioned, "You know the town better than I do..."
"Downtown... the park.. there's a small woods there.. I think that's the best place to go for shelter" Gabriel said, starting off down the hall.
"Okay," Elyria nodded, "What about the guy upstairs though?" She frowned slightly, "Shouldn't we bring him with us too?"
"Good point, we should. I'll run up and get him, and I'll meet you at the front door" Gabriel said before sprouting his wings and flying off upstairs to get the man.
Elyria nodded and moved to the front door, quickly slipping into her shoes. She turned to look up through the hallway, waiting worriedly for Gabriel to reappear.
Gabriel came down as fast as he could, holding the guy loosely drapped over his arms. HE landed beside Elyria and sighed. "Passed out.." he muttered, looking down at the man.
Elyria tugged the front door open for him, "Poor guy..." She murmured, stepping back so that Gabriel could get through the door.
Gabriel went through the doorway and started down the path. He turned to see if Elyria was following along.
Elyria shut and locked the door before quickly making her way towards Gabriel as she slid the keys into her pocket.
Gabriel smiled and continued down the path slowly, giving Elyria time to catch up.
