TEEN TITANS

part 1

beast boy walked throught the house without really thinking about where he was going. all he had on his mind was some breakfast. passing robins room he saw starfire walk out in a short pink nighty yawning. "howd you sleep star?" bb said smiling knowing she probably hadnt slept much.
"oh, very well beast boy, me and robin.."
"had a good time watching a movie, things got late so she slept in my room." interupted robin, coming out in his boxers, looked at star who blushed and started towards the kitchen. bb just shook his head knowing very well that they hadnt just talked last night. specially cause robin didnt have a t.v. in his room. he couldnt help wondering just how long theyd been up to this. the thought of robing and star brought someone else to mind, terra. he suddenly didnt feel much like eating anymore.walking outside, even in his pj pants and no shirt, he didnt even notice it was cold outside. all he could think of was to get to the spot, him and terras special place. walking along memorys of him and terras times together flooded his mind. wallowing in his thoughts he sat down and stared at the rising sun not even knowing what he saw. small tears streamed down his face as finally the thought of her death came to mind. would they ever find a way to restore her? would things between him and her ever be the same? cradeling his head in his hands he relized just how alone he was without her, hed never felt this lonely since his parents had died. "something wrong beast boy?" came the monotone voice of raven. quickly wipping away his tears he tried to say a convincing "no" but it didnt come out right. sitting down next to beastboy, raven looked directly into his eyes, something she didnt do often, and whispered "terra?" beast boy nodded breaking her gaze. looking out into the ocean "i miss her more than you guys know." he said quitly.
"we all miss her bb, and we know that you were close and pretty broken up when she left, even i was upset by it"
"i doubt it. raven you dont care about people once they are out of your life. mostly you simply dont care about people in general" bb burst, he didnt mean half of what he said but he was upset.
"she was one of the best friends id ever had,dont you ever say that i didnt care" raven said icily, a few rocks around her disapering in blackness. getting up she looked down at him, "i just thought you might have wanted to talk to someone. she walked off and bb felt a little guilty for getting mad at her. it was a little while before he got up but when he did he felt cold so he ran back to the tower and took the elevator up to the main room. walking in he saw robin and cyborg playing video games, while star fire leaned over next to robin routing for him. grabing some fruit he ploped down on the couch to see how the game was going. cyborg was winning, but not by much, robin HAD been getting better. "have you seen raven beast boy? i had hoped to go to the mall of shopping with her today." star asked bb. "i dont know" he said shortly getting up and walking out so that he could get rid of the guilty fealing in his stomach.



Part 2

rae sat on her bed meditating. her fight with bb had gotten her pretty emotional. shed never been able to tell him just how jelous his realtionship with terra had always made her. how shed been able to watch the sitting on the rocks, enjoying eachothers company, talking about anything and everything. something her and beast boy hadnt ever been able to do. she hadnt relized how much she felt for him untill terra had come along. it made her fairly upset that she could never get on good terms with him. and after she had fallen for "malichoir" she hadnt been able to find someone that made her feel happy again like he did, even though she never let him on to it. it was a while after noon when she heard a knock on her door and got up to answer it. looking up at who was in the doorway she saw beast boy getting ready to knock again. "hey" he said rubbing his neck. "hey" she answered staring at the floor "do you, uhh, do ya wanna come in?" bb nodded and the two of them walked a little ways into her room. "hey, listen, i kinda feel bad about erlier, you know..."
"yeah, me too" rae said looking up shyly into bbs eyes.
"well, if were good ill be going" bb said turning around suddenly feeling nervous.
"hey bb?"
"yeah?"
"do you." looking around and rubbing her arm "would you.. uh...like to go.."
"to the mall?" he finished
smiling rae noded sodddenly getting a nervous fealing in her stumoch. her hair fluttered but thankfully bbs back was turrned. they met in a few minets later dressed in normal clothing. raven in low baggy blue pants with an equally blue tank top to go with, beast boy in bluejeans and a white with green desins t-shirt. smiling they walked/flew into town. their conversations mostly revolved around prevous battles, though, never getting anywhere close to terra or malachor. wandering around they came close to the movie theater. "do you wanna hit a flick?" bb asked. rae smiled, she was excited, this was almoust like a date! what am i doing? she quickly chided herself after that thought. calming herself she followed bb to the snack bar. after getting popcorn and coke they sat down, near the back. the movie opened up and started up with scary scene after scary scene. rae had seen scary things in her lifetime, but this was bad! nearly jumping out of her seet at one scene, she grabbed bbs hand without thinking, and quickly let go. but bb grabbed back, and smiled at her.

Part 3

rae laced her fingers into bbs and continued to watch the movie, everytime something scary happened she gripped his fingers hard, but didnt show anyother sign of being scared.
when the movie was over it was dinner time, hitting the cafe they shared some pizza and raven smiled the whole time.
"so did you like the movie?" bb said leaning in towards her smiling hapily
"it was...ok" she said acting like it was nothing.
"you were squeezing my hand pretty tight back there" he said getting a little closer
"well, so what" she said moving just inches from his face.
bb's hand lightly touched her face and they were closer than theyed ever been before. but just before they could kiss the titans alarm went off. looking a little disapointed that their mood had been ruined, they both stood up and took off. there wasnt enough time to change so they went as they were. flying out the doors they quickly got to the scene of the crime. a Central bank building was being robbed by some petty theives. the rest of the team had already aprehended the crimanals and were bringing them to the police. a little embaressed that they had shown up late they started the clean up.
"so did you two have an enjoyable afternoon?" robin said smiling at the two of them.
"it was a normal morning nothing out of the ordinary" bb said real fast. giving up on the clean up effort raven started walking towards starfire who was helping one of the criminals into a car. "do you still want to hang out tonight star?" raven asked moodily
"oh yes i would like to do some clothes hunting with you, we havent done it in a very very long time" she replied happy to do something with her friend. then just as star almost had the criminal in the car a sharp kick was delivered by the woman as she got out of stars custody. "ill get it" rave said pulling up some spare metal and melding it together to wrap the lady up. in a last desprete attempt to get away the criminal threw a sharp metal disk that was propelled so fast raven didnt have enough time to dodge it. it a split secound to things happened. first the metal wrapped around the criminal successfully catching her, secound the disk caught raven in the side, slicing cleanly into her flesh. the shock of pain that ripped throughout ravens body caught her off gaurd causing the grip on the woman she held in metal binding to become unessesarily tight breaking several of her ribs and causing her to pass out. when the focus came back to raven she released the women for paramedics to take care of. upset by her close call she shoved the docters away and flew home. the rest of her friends stared up silently. it wasnt so unusual to them anymore for a teammate to go home and treat themselves. they hardly needed docters to ever come around. i mean they ARE super heros.....

Part 4

beast boy walked into the house with the rest of the titans and plopped down on the couch to watch some t.v. he wasnt too interested but he still flipped to the animal chanel to see if there was something for him to experiment with there. as the the rest of the titans dispersed, robin to see if there was any recent activity from slade, starfire to go speak with raven and cyborg to lift some weights, his thoughts turned to that day. raven had acted almost normal today, something she hadnt done more than mabey once to his recolection. it was how different shed been acting that had managed to take his mind off tera today. he felt his stomach drop as he thought about her. was going and spending the afternoon with raven an insult to tera? he felt guilty about it. if he suddenly stopped paying attention to raven, shed be hurt and that could become detrimental to the team, but if they ever started getting close to eachother the guilt of fealing like he was cheating on tera would eat him alive. he couldnt make up his mind about it! "oh yes i would like to up take this offer you erlier made raven it would be most enjoyable." starfire beamed as she walked into the central room with raven, who had change into a normal blue t-shirt, and some looser fitting jeans. she looked at beast boy and said as clam and uncaring as was humanly possible, "make sure you tell the others were we are, so they dont worry wont you beast boy?" he just look at her, mouth a little open and didnt answer. as she walked out he decided that his mind was made up. nothing was going on between him and raven, it had all just been in his head. fealling foolish he got up, there was one other place that made not feal so lonely, and that was teras statue. it always took him a while to get there, and even a while longer to leave, but he had all night.

raven and starfire had spent the entire evening shopping hard, raven hadnt ever trully found shopping very apealing but even she knew she needed to get out more. ever since her father had been banshed she felt in alot more control of her fealings. she had even found trying colors, brighter ones like yellow and white, slightly apealing. she was begining to sense what it was like to be normal. but becoming too close to someone could be detrimental, she had decided, while tending her wound, that she had let her fealings for beast boy get her concentration out of wack, she didnt like giving hime the cold shoulder, but she felt shed had no choice. walking out of the mall she relized just how late it was. she and starfire took off for home, looking at starfire, the thought of how shed felt when robin and starfire had started getting close. it was almoust laughable now, but shed been angry because, after all he had known her longer and they had sorta been together. smiling at starfire she knew that him and her where good for eachother, he made her a little more serious, and she made him smile. she knew that in time her fealings for beast boy would become reasonable, when they restored tera then theyed be together again, and hed be happy, thats all shed ever really wanted for her friends, to experience every emotion to its fullest, just because she herself couldnt. she knew it was just her mind acting the age it was, not the way it should. walking into the main room laden with bags robin suddenly jumped up looking worried. "i didnt know where you to where, you didnt have you comunicators with you, i thought something had happened!"
"didnt beast boy tell you wed gone shopping? you know we hardly ever wear them there!" starfire said smiling, dropping her bags and hugging robin. robin only partly hugged back. "no, he didnt have his communicator with him when he left either." robin getting a strange note in his voice again. raven felt sick to her stomach, why did she have to be so unkind to herself and others sometimes? the careless look shed given beast boy erlier must have made him leave. "hell be back" she said looking at the ground "he wont be much longer" picking up her bags she went, got changed and went into the Titans gym to exersize everything out of herself.

Part 5

Beast boy got up after spending a lot of time with tera sighing as he thought about the time when he had told her his real name was garfield logan, gar for short. how she laughed barley able to breathe, then smiling had kissed him. the whole time he had been trying to be serious, trying to learn more about her, when all that was happening was she was learning private things about him. he knew, he had known for a very long time, that it was next to impossible to restore tera. it was depressing being there, but still he never felt bad about the idea that he might have forgotten about her. he just wasnt himself nowdays, except... he was about to bash his head in for thinking it, except for the time he spent trying to get raven to smile. how it felt when he actually suceeded. how excited hed been the secounds before they almoust kissed. he knew now, tera wouldnt want to have been forgoten, and she wasnt in the least, but she also wouldnt have wanted him pining for her the rest of his life. turning into a bird he flew as fast as possible to the titans tower. he really wasnt sure of what he was doing but he knew that there were only two possible results, one possibly great, the other possibly envolving a swift kick to a region of his body not generally messed with.


runing through the house he let robin kno where he had been and found out were raven was and rushed into the gym. shed been sparing with a dummy that was enhanced technilogicaly by cyborg. panting after defeating it she looked sweaty in the dim lights and looked at him and did a double take. the confident look on his face caught her off gaurd. "hey bb, listen about erlier.."
"tonight?" he interupted "listen raven i need to talk with you, do you really want to be together, or are you playing at something that you dont intend to follow through on."
"beast boy, i.."
"cause back at the mall today you lead me on, then dropped me like a bad slice of tofu! i dont know if your sorry or not rae, but id just like to say that..i..." he searched for words
"hey listen"
"no! wait im almost done!" he cried out, begining to lose the eveness of his voice
"what im trying to say raven is that i think that you are...... holy crap raven you bleading again!" he said pointing to her side
"oh, i geuss i am" she said sounding a little dazed. blood spread out from the wound so fast that it was making her want to faint. and so she did, and beastboy caught her and carried her up to the hospital wing.

things hadnt gone as beastboy had planed, he had hoped that he wouldnt vent at her but thats what had happened. pulling off her shirt he went to work stopping the blood flow, not even noticing that raven was down to her bra, she came to as he started sealing the wound and bandaging it. blinking her eyes twice she suddenly noticed what he had not. "beast boy!!!!"she said, obviously pissed. she was about to bind him up when he looked up at her. the mixture of worry and weariness in his eyes caused her to with hold. "listen raven im real sorry that i got you this upset, i didnt mean to really and...." he was cut off. raven had a hold of his shirt and pulled him toward her with a jerk, wrapped her legs around his waist, and kissed him gently on the lips.
when he put her down they smiled at eachother "so, that went better than id expected"
"yeah, i had to help out after youd screwed it up twice" raven replied, in her monotone voice.
"i didnt..i..you know...." he started rubbing his neck and looked down, stopping part of the way down. "raven, you dont have a shirt on!" he said looking up again, eyes wide.
raven moved closer to him "only cause you took it off bb" she got closer to him, as he nervously wrapped his arms around her. "hey, lets go back to my, no your room, and watch a movie" backing off to put her shirt back on. silently bb grabed her hand and they went to his room.
