IN GAME RULES

1. Stay in character.
Once you've established your characters personality it is expected that you continue to play them that way throughout the game with gradual developments related to what happens to them in game. Sudden, random changes in personality for no reason are an indication of poor roleplaying skills. Examples are a normally weak, submissive character suddenly acting stronger and more aggressive just because "they woke up that way" and going around acting like a badass or a reserved character who has been established as shy boldly going up and flirting with someone. Changes in personality are slower to happen, extenuating circumstances aside.

2. No power playing.
You get to play your character and your character only. If you get caught doing this you will receive a warning, second offense will result in removal.

3. Keep watch.
All players are expected to be watching all of the pages in the Compound, with the exception of the ones inaccessible to Specials or only accessible to certain Specials (such as homes).

4. Private Places
Nothing to do with sex (though romantic encounters are encouraged so long as they fit the story and characters involved), the homes/rooms of characters will only be accessible to those players. Handlers (GM's) will give your characters (and you) a key (password to access that page). Keys will also be required for places off limits to specials and a GM will let you know if your character finds one of these.

5. Hit “enter” before posting so you have an empty space between you and the last person’s post.
Do not use HR tags in between, they aren't necessary.

6. Write your posts in past tense, third person.
Can't get much clearer than that

7.Taking turns
Give other players a chance to respond to your post before posting again, it's not cool to leave other players behind and it can mess up the game. However, if there are many characters in one area and small groups have formed, you don't necessarily need to wait for characters not apart of the group your character is in.

8.Handlers
These are special characters who carry the GM's weight behind them, in fact, think of them as the GM's of the universe in which your character lives. What they say goes, and if a character does not listen they may be subject to punishments. Unless previously established with the GM your Special will not be able to overtake a Handler, kill them, hurt them, or escape from them. We will give them plausible abilities, weapons, and technology that allows them to be able to over power or confine your character.

9. Disposable NPC's
These are characters played by GM's and they will be marked with an asterisk. They can be hurt or killed, but they may also be able to fight back, and just because you can kill them doesn't mean you should. Your character is subject to the rules of the universe which may mean that in response to the guard you just killed, a handler is going to put your special in detention for an undisclosed amount of time.

10. Use proper grammar!
There is this wonderful invention known as "Spell Check"; use it. Text speak or horrible grammar won't be tolerated. We understand sometimes people make mistakes but please proof read before you hit edit.

Courtesy Rules!

1. What the GM says goes
Ultimately [The Black Goat] and [The Black Cat in Your Path] have the final say in any argument, in their absence [Lirerial] gets to deal with it.

2. Respect other players
We have zero tolerance for disrespecting other players. Play nice and don’t be an ass.

3. No Drama.
If you have an “in-game” issue with someone tell a GM so it can be resolved. If you have a personal problem with someone from something that doesn’t involve the game: suck it up. We won’t deal with that type of drama, in fact we’d prefer not to deal with any drama unless it is actually game play.

4. Don’t overdo it on the swear words.
Swearing is allowed, but it should be within character. I will not tolerate swearing aimed at other players in a way that is not very clearly playful in nature and if the other played indicates they were not comfortable with what was said to them I expect you to keep that in mind for future reference.

5.Don't get offended.
This is a mature roleplay. It will probably bloody and perverted and, frankly, not much is frowned upon. So if you are easily offended please don't join. Pedophilia, racism or violence targeting kids are an exception to this and will be promptly removed. If you aren't sure ask before posting.

6. Post regularly
Inactive players will be dropped. If you’re going to be gone for a while please let a GM know so we don’t drop your character, otherwise, you have a week before your character is moved somewhere out of the way and a month before it is dropped completely (by which we mean brutally murdered in game).

7. Ask us anything!
We won’t bite! The GM’s are here for a reason, you know the other reason besides enforcing rules. If you have any questions or ideas feel free to email either [The Black Goat], [The Black Cat in Your Path], or [Lirerial].
