Go where you will
Have you ever heard of the irish blessing that starts, "May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back"? My mother gave me a locket that was just like hers except oval, with that very inscription on the back.
It reminded of a poem I'd written with a similar feel and thought I'd share it with you. Enjoy!
Estantia's Stories
You can go where you will
Fly over mountains and sail the seas,
but when you come back,
you can come back to me.
No matter where you are,
or what you do,
I’ll still be there
watching over you.
If you want you can run
try to leave me behind
you know I won’t chase
I’ll just wait to find.
And when you come out,
or when you come back.
You’ll find me here waiting
on this old worn track.
You don’t need to see me
I’m there in your mind
Just look for that track
And me you’ll there find.
So go where you will
And don’t miss me dear,
You know if you want me
Then I am right here.
