Description:
The house in front of you is somewhat normal, a creamy whitewash with windowsills a gentle terracotta, the windows themselves left partly open for the sheer golden curtain to ripple through the gap, which is what had attracted you to look at this house in particular anyway.
Like all houses in the area its door is unlocked and requires no password as you step through the door. The house would be completely normal, were it not for the shafts of light from the windows, catching the golden dust in its clean dance through the house, lending it a Mediterranean magic. The house is remarkably... empty, comprising of the hall, the expansive lounge and a staircase, which promised an airy feeling like the downstairs.
Once you step into the main room, however, the golden dust swirls excitedly, revealing itself to be magic forming a replica of a girl in gold. She was around 18 with a long cloth coat swishing to her ankles and hair floating around her elbows, framing the face with a smile and twinkling eyes.
"Hiya," the hologram says, "I'm
Estantia and I'm not usually found sitting idle in my house, I'm either busy role-playing or stopping someone getting eaten/fried. I'll always be around if you want to chat though, just leave something in the message tray by the sofa and help yourself to tea and cookies."
The figure waved an arm at the wall, which you now realise is covered in glowing writing that shifts as you read it. "That's the straightforwar
d stuff... but the really interesting bits are upstairs, mini portals to all the wikis and stories I've done. Speaking of which..."
The figure turns and points to a swirling oval of gold in the corner, "Through there is the universe of the 11th Clan, to be more specific? Room 11, that's where you can find me if you really want me in person, but it's kinda insane."
She turns back to you, "Anyway, feel free to wander round, it's not like there's much you can trash in here..." With that the hologram waves and disperses into the magical particles once more as you choose to investigate the wall, which forms words and images as you approach.
These are The Mittens, Archer and Merlin, archer has two spots on his neck and a white nose, Merlin has a cape and an orange nose. Both are utterly photogenic due to being cats, however mine are also complete idiots.... at times... They also love all the compliments they get :D
By the way, any grafiti probably [sequeena_rae]'s because she wrote the house first and I liked the comments.
My House is a Safe Zone.
I don't see the point in discrimination, i really don't...
However assholes will get treated as such.
I'm sorry, I put off saying this as long as possible,
I am NOT hot, so I will not believe you if you tell me so as flattery. I mean come on, if I don't believe my friends when they tell me it a complete stranger has no hope.
Sorry I had to say that.
The Squee would like to mention that she disagrees with [Estantia], because [Estantia] is obviously very hot.
Too hot for you lower forms to handle.
Estantia: You have got to be kidding Seq, seriously, I am NOT!
Random note, how come I get MORE messages from random guys when I just entered a relationship...?
The wall has obviously finished its piece and so you turn, walking up the stairs as moving tiles and writing slide into view on the wall as you climb... Though walking into a portal off a staircase would be quite funny you continue to climb, you can always come back down to enter.
Yes, I came to this town from elfwood, and I do care.. Take elftown back.
A writer, poet, bard, rpg'er and sci-fi fan.
The Squee would like to say that she effing loves [Estantia]'s stories. You should read them. Now.
Estantia: Well I'm not going to disagree with that. ^_^
I like telling stories, using words or art, though I prefer words. Mind you, I went in for a artist first. I am a writer now though, you can find me commenting in most places.
My description has shrunk massively... all the badges and whatnot are at Estantia's wikis, which is now slightly more up to date, though most of the groups have died...
For all those puzzle solvers out there, Riddle Me, can you beat the challenge?
I RP a bit, and my normal characters are me (Estantia), Joe Marder, Sara Xanthis or Cirrasa. Keep an eye out for them ;)
Drop in to have a look at the rp of Hogwarts Castle if you're interested in that kind of thing, or even if you're not sure if you do.
Be warned, If I am bored, I need to refresh the page or your name is on my visitor's list then PREPARE TO BE ZAPPED! MWAHAHAHAHA *Cough* *ahem* House zapper
All dividers on this house are courtesy of [eyes of frost] at Elftown graphics, the stuff you can find there is amazing.
When you reach the top of the stairs the walls around you are covered in shifting tiles of stories, each one acting as a portal to that tale. The only two panels that don't seem to be moving constantly are directly opposite the staircase: One is the sort of information panel that you have become familiar with and the other seems to be a featured story.
All of my writing on Elftown is located at Estantia's Stories, so if you have a spare moment just enter the portal in the image below. I appreciate feedback and I'm part of the Elftown Comment Exchange, that means if you comment, I comment back :)
Oh and by the way, the current featured story is a snippet of Enter the liontaur. Someone asked me to show my writing by doing a 'man walked into a bar' scene. It turned into a snapshot for Sara Xanthis. Enjoy!
The bar was rowdy, too many drunk men, elves, dwarves, orcs... a typical sight for any bar in downtown elftown with a storm outside. Enough for you to be prepared for anything.
Anything? You must be mistaken.
The door opened and a female entered, pale skinned arm falling to her side as she stepped in, blonde hair falling over her shoulders, a fine drift of gold in oily orange light flickering up it like fire, light shooting from behind her through the door as she paused in her walk, one furred paw darting backwards to push to door to, shutting the sound of the thunder out in the sudden dead silence.
The liontaur held herself regally and started to walk through the crowd towards the bar, firelight sliding over smooth sandy flanks to the tail whose brown tuft flicked from side to side as she slunk past a horde of staring eyes, shadows compared to her fire.
Once she reached the bar her head turned to the channel that remained between her and the door and the watchers. Her reaction was a glare as fierce as the powerful lioness quarters seemed. At her glare the crowd turned back to their occupations and the general murmur restarted as her legs folded and she sat, bringing her down to the height of a tall woman.
Her elbows folded on the bar with a slight sigh, ignoring the rainwater sliding off her fur as she spoke with the tone of a weary traveller, even if she was an unusual and unusually comely one for this kind of place.
"Do you do food here as well as drink or am I going to have to order the strongest spirit you've got?"
"We only have drink," grunted the bar tender, "You need something warm? Try Dragontongue if you think you can take it, but I warn you, it's a man's drink..."
That got a spark in the woman's eye, though whether it was mischief or anger was questionable, "You think because I'm a woman I can't handle it?"
"It's mighty strong..."
"I'm a liontaur," she replied, leaning forwards with a grin, "and I consider that a challenge."
A closing comment from the Squee:
Peas are bad for you. Keep away from them kiddies.
Estantia: *Points up* and she rocks. Worship the Seq!
