In Plurals

Funny feelings,
Amber eyes on one side,
Silver on the next,
There's a lot of different
Colours when the
Dual-tone is vexed.
One of us is jaded,
Another, rather shy.
Then, one is filled with anger,
Its humour terse and wry.
A narrow personality,
Mixed with many more,
Is often leaving wanting
With things that came before.
Trapped in a plurality
We wouldn't want to leave,
Dipping toes in ripple-ponds
Where subtle-sense relief
Is found.

The patron saint Plurality
With many personalities
Is sitting on her high-up cloud
And looking down,
She laughs and laughs
And laughs again
And with the rain
She'll drown.

2009-02-12 [Linderel]: Again, me likes. :3 Especially the second stanza, and the last five lines of the first one. Doesn't quite hit me like the other one did, but there's some really lovely imagery and word use. ^_^

Yeah, it's pretty happy-sounding I suppose... but then before the last line it just abruptly stops, there's a sudden break - and then the whole thing is turned on its head as far as tone sounds. At least I had to imagine a break there the first couple of times I read it xD
