Erika looked from Caita to Bankotsu.

"Souls are only useful in a body..." Naraku noted.

Now that im close "Is that why you split yours so many times?" Bankotsu imediatly slashed down on the demon from point blank range.

Naraku fell to the ground, in half almost symetrically.

Bankotsu's sword absorbs five souls of the demons under narakus cloak.

Naraku's body came back together, a tentacle lunging around Bankotsu's body.

Bankotsu took his free arm and slashed around severing the tentacle. "Iv been around you long enough to know it wouldnt be that easy. We just have to kill all the little grunts in that cloak then we will eventually get to that bug naraku."

Erika looked at the two fighting.

Naraku raised his arms up, poisonous miasma flying everywhere. "Try it..."

"What is that stuff?"Erika asked Caita.

"Its a poisonous gas, we have to get away from him!" Caita said, a wide eyed expression on his face.

Erika grabbed Caita and disappeared and reappeared 20 feet away.

"Aww...So Caita has a new little friend...so what is he to you girl?" Naraku asked, laughing.

Erika looked down at Caita,"I will protect him at all costs,which is why I want you to give him back his soul,in exchange I'll be your slave and do whatever you want."She said looking at Naraku.

Naraku tapped a clawed finger to his chin, thinking carefully over the proposition. "Hmm...I could use a servent for...subjects needing attending to."

Caita gritted his teeth, clasping his hands to his head. What do I do...I cant let her do this..

Erika looked at Naraku,"I could do it."

"Very well...Caita, I will grant you your soul back, in exchange, Miss Erika will ttake your place...Is that ok?" Naraku asked, snickering.

Caita pointed the palm of his hand towards Naraku, anger building. "Like hell it is!!"

Erika looked at Caita,"What are you doing?"

"Naraku is a sick man....I cant allow him to do as he wants..." Caita coughed, trying to collect streams of darkness from the air. "Kage..."

Naraku laughed. "So Caita, trying that technique without your full powers?"

"Stop Caita,this is my choice."Erika said looking at his hand.

Caita forced out more darkness to his palms. "But I..."

Naraku smiled, pulling out a small doll with a mark on it. "Well here is your soul Caita, take the doll and pull the shard from it. If you place it in your body, your soul will restore, if the miss doesnt do as I say, i will crush the shard with the doll and kill you...Deal?"

Erika pushed Caita's arm down towards the ground,"I'll be fine,I promise."

"Ok..." The streams of darkness absorbed into Caita's skin.

Naraku smirked. "Excellent..." He tossed the doll to Caita.

Caita put the jewel into his right arm, bandages swarming over and around it to suppress it. "I hope you know what your doing...."

Erika nodded,"Don't worry,I know."she kissed Caita's cheek.

Caita blushed, stumbling words out. "I...uh.."

Naraku held out a jewel shard. "Come get the shard girl..."

Erika moved forward towards Naraku.

Naraku smirked, flinging the shard into her forhead.

Erika yelped in surprise.

"Now...from this moment on, you will obey me and only me..." Naraku said, ice seeming to stream in his glare.

Erika nodded,"Yes Lord Naraku."

"Now...I want you to remove Caita from my sight..." Naruku said, grining at the girl.

"You mean take him somewhere else?"Erika asked looking from Naraku to Caita.

Naraku turned around, walking away. "You can decide that detail for yourself."

Erika grabbed Caita and disappeared with him.

Caita bit his lip, trying to meld more darkness, but there was nowhere to get it. "Where are we going!?"

Erika reappeared near a waterfall.

"Now what...?" Are you going to kill me....?" Caita asked, his arms clenched.

"No,I can't."Erika said letting go of Caita,"I've killed many before,but I don't want to kill you."

"But....why...why'd you take my place? As long as he has your soul, your powers will be eaten away until your just a human..." Caita looked her in the eyes, twisting up slightly.

Erika looked down,"I'm not sure why,it's like I had no control over my own mouth and what I was saying."

Caita looked down as well, remaining silent for almost a minute. "Fine...as soon as my powers return, i'll free you..."

Five seconds later Caita heard a splash and Erika was gone.

"Where'd she go...?" Caita looked up.

Erika appeared where she sensed Naraku.

Naraku turned around, looking into Erika's empty body with his sinister eyes. "Have you done as I commanded...?"

"You will never see him again,unless you die."Erika replied.

"Fantastic....now, what shall my next task be....?" Naraku said, smirking.

"I am yours to command."Erika said kneeling.

"Tell me why you would offer your own soul to me for that young boy...?" Naraku swiftly moved closer.

"I-I-I don't know,I acted without thinking,it's like I had no control over my mouth."Erika said confused.

"Really...?" He laced a finger under her chin. "Seems as though you'd had boiling sensations inside you..."

"Boiling sensations?"Erika said looking confused,"What do you mean?"

"You acted very rashly for a friend..." Naraku said, smiling as usual.

"I still don't understand what you mean."Erika said still looking slightly confused.

He took his hand from the girl, laughing. "You will be an amusing pawn..."

Erika sighed and looked at the ground dazed,Why did I offer my soul for his?

"Verywell, I have your next assignment..." He said, the laughter disappearing from his voice.
