History: Kiaran is the son of an Elven noble and a Raven Shapeshifter, though he does not know of his father nor that his mother was a Shapeshifter. His mother had been the companion to an Elven noble, a ranger, who had a deep love of the forest and its creatures. She had become this Elf's companion through him having saved her from a hunter's net. The Elven noble gave Kiaran's mother the name DarkStar. During a time when his mother had decided to have her daily bath in a small pond in a clearing, the Elven noble came upon her. He did not know that she was DarkStar, for his companion was seemingly off flying through the forest, as well as for she had not told him of what she was for fear of presecution of being a Shapeshifter. It was then that the two fell in love. They would meet every night in that clearing to talk, but then the talking turned into courting. They were madly in love. One night, they both became intimate while in the clearing, their clearing. It wasn't soon after, that one of the older Elven nobles discovered what she was, and she ran out of fear that her love would not wish to be with her any more. Sometime after, DarkStar or Ara, as was her true name, laid three eggs, only one of which hatched. Ara raised Kiaran with him knowing only that he was a raven, fearing the hate for their race would kill her beloved son, the son with her eyes and her love's mind when it came to forest. Ara died when Kiaran, if she had taught him of being a Shapeshifter, was six (6) years old. Kiaran has used the knowledge he gained from his mother to survive alone, and he thinks of her every night. Kiaran never knew who his father was, and the only thing that Ara ever told Kiaran that was a straight answer was that his father had called her DarkStar, though Kiaran always thought that was strange.

2009-10-13 [Lirerial]: Hmm since he doesn't know his mother was a shapeshifter and he's so young maybe you should put that he doesn't know about his powers yet... That way he can be "discovered" or find out by accident.
