~Luki's story part three~

"It's to bright." Luki moaned swinging his left arm over his eyes.

"We could stay longer if you'd like.." Numori offered as she packed up.

"No, little miss stalls alot. You have things to do~" Luki replied getting up and rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"a few hours wont hurt anything." Numori stated.

"You'll never get to church at this rate." Luki chuckled.

Numoried sighed softly as she stood up.

"Get more enthusiastic, princess. I almost feel like I'm taking you to the gallows." Luki said wondering why Numori was getting so depressed.

Numori shook her head before looking at Luki and smiling. "You're right, I guess I'm just getting nervious."

"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll except you, at the very least you'll have a warm place to stay and meals."

"Yes, that's true....but..nevermind..."

Luki stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder."but what?"

Numori slowly brought your gaze up to Luki. " I want to live, Luki! I don't want to spend my life cooped up in a church! There has to be more to my life then this.."

Luki was surprised, not sure what to say. He knew the world's a dangerous place especially for a girl with little training. He knew it would be best for Numori to stay at the church, but the look on her face and her words made his heart sink at the thought of asking her to go there.
"....Numori..I promised I'd show you the way out of the woods, after that its your choice."

"You and I both know I couldn't make it on my own." Numori said with a sad smile.

"I'm not so sure, I mean you're gutsy enough." Luki said with a smile.

"Guts will only gets you so far."

Luki moved his hand from her shoulder to her head gently ruffling her hair. "We'll figure something out~"

Numori blinked at his hand before smiling warmly with a nod. "Right!"

Luki blinked as he stopped ruffling her hair. "You truly are short."

"Luki! thats a very rude thing to say! ...it was also very random..." Numori said puffing her cheek slightly.

"Hehe, sorry, I'm not sorry." Luki snickered, he preferred her grumpy face much more then her sad one.

"Humph! I might be short but i pack a punch!" Numori stated crossing her arms.

"Oh yeah? okay, give me your worst~" Luki chucked placing his hand on his hip as he puffed his chest out slightly.

"Uhh..you.mean right now?"

"Yes! give it your all!" Luki replied with a big grin.

"B-but I dont want to hurt you...." Numori said timidly.

"Weak, and short..seesh not much to work with huh?" Luki said with a frowning, still inwardly grinning.

"You asked for it!" hopped on one foot (so she could reach his head) and quickly swung her hand down on his head in a chop motion.

Luki blinked at her hand trying not to laugh."Okay...we'll have to work on that..."

"It most be because you're a vampire..."

"Maybe..but just encase I'd suggest some self defense training." Luki hummed as he started leading the way, Numori nodded and fallowed.

They walked for several their conversations slowly winding down as they approached the end of the wood, the cool Fall breeze was even colder without the big trees blocking it.
"Well...this is the end of the road.." Luki stated.

"Already?" Numori asked herself quietly. they both had the feeling you get when its the last day of vacation and you realize everything's coming to end, you can't hold onto this happiness any longer..you just have to say goodbye and go back to reality.
"Yeah...." Luki replied trying not to look sad.

Numori looked up at him with teary eyes. "C-Can I stay here?! I-I know its probably to much to ask..and makes me sound abit crazy, but please! can I?!"

Luki looked at her wide eyed before slowly frowning. "No..that's not an option..."

"I wont get in your way! I'll stay real quiet and I'll never get mad and I-* Luki glared at her causing her to stop speaking completely.

"If I wanted you to stay, i'd want You to stay, not some doll. *sigh* do you have all you stuff?" Luki said not looking as harsh.

Numori blinked back tears as she looked through her stuff. "Y-Yeah I think so.."

"Then this is goodbye." Luki said beginning to turn away.

"Wait!" Numori quickly hugged him, as tears ran down her face. "I dont want to go to the church! I want to stay with you and Maline!"

Luki was shocked and confused, he was almost positive this girl is crazy. he slowly lowered his head and looked down at the girl."I'm sorry" he said quietly.

"What?" Numori asked looking into his eyes.

Luki forced back tears as he used his Vampiric ability to put her to sleep. He was tempted to clear her memories but how much would a hermit vampire stand out, compared to loving humans?
He carried her all they way to the church.
He left Maline to wait in the woods for him.
There was a middle aged nun outside of the church watering flowers that lined the path to the church.

Checked to make sure his hood was covering most of his face.
"Excuse me, this young lady has been traveling awhile-" Luki began but the woman cut him off.
"Oh my lord! Is she alright?!"
"Yes, just tired..she was hoping to became a nun here."
The nun gasped. " she must be miss Numori, come bring her inside."
Luki shook his head. "I've already come fourther then I intended."
She's going to wake up any minute now, I can't stick around any longer.
Luki thought as he set Numori on a bench outside the church gate before taking off.
"Wait!!" The nun called after, but of course, Luki didn't oblige.

"*sigh* that...was harder and a lot more trouble then it should've been." Luki said quietly to himself before looking for Maline.
"Hehehe stop! I'm not food!"
"You heard him! Stop before we turn you into our food!!" The first voice sounded rather child like, hard to tell if it was male or female, the other was more harsh and sinister sounding.
Luki turned to see a young boy...maybe a girl..it was hard to tell the hair said boy though, on the ground being licked by Maline.
"Maline, that's enough." Luki said calmly, Maline quickly perked up and ran over to him. Luki looked down at the boy, the boy was kinda blooded up and simply smiled up at him. He had shirt black hair, gray eyes, and was wearing a baggy jacket with blue jeans...the oddest part was the octopus thing stuffed animal on his shoulder.
"You look like you've had a bad day." Luki smiled bending down by the child, he noticed some of the blood wasn't the childs.
"Its certainly been a busy one." The child replied still smiling.
"I'll get you all healed up in a sec." Luki stated as he set to work on healing the child.
"Okay, thank you, Mr." The kid replied humming.
After several minutes Luki finished healing the kid.
"If you want mommy you're out of luck tree hugger!" The sinister voiced stated.
Luki didn't seem to react at all.
"Sorry about him, he can be rude." the child hummed as he sat up.
"Careful...you just got healed." Luki stated placing a hand in front of the child so he would move forward any more.
Maline seemed to read Luki's mind as it opened Luki's bag so Luki could pull out the sleeping bag. He placed the Sleeping bag behind the child to help prop him up.
"better?" Luki asked removing his hand.
"Yes thank you, Mr." The child replied.
"Luki, My names Luki." Maline looked at Luki almost questioningly.
"Arthur." the child replied.
"nice to meet you...so..is there a particular place you're trying to get to?" Luki asked.
"Yes." Arthur replied with a smile.
Luki tilted his head. "Where? I might be able to help."
"I'm looking for my Paradise." Arthur said as if it was a common thing to say.
Luki blinked at the child for a few minutes."/Your/ paradise."
Arthur frowned for the first time, due to Luki's phrasing. "Yes! everyone has their own paradise, I'm trying to find mine!"
"Don't listen to this little dip-sh** nut job!" the voice from earlier laughed.
"That's a crass word." Luki and Arthur stated at the same time.
"Shut the he** Up!" The voice replied.
"Sorry Cthulhu has bad manners." Arthur replied pushing the weird stuffed animal down.
"Wh-what...are you say that squid thing has been cussing us out?!" Luki asked in shock.
"Yeah?" Arthur replied confused by his shock.
Luki calmed down slightly before grabbing the squid. "Listen here you annoying crass little monster! you cant throw cuss words out like that when a child is present!!"
"What are you going to do kill me?" The squid laughed.
Luki smirked and narrowed his eyes letting them flash red for a moment. "Maybe~"
"Wh-what?! you-you cant! take a look at me sucker!" Cthulhu said sounding slightly scared.
For the heck of it, Luki listened and looked more attentively at the stuffed animal.
'What the...it actually has a soul..wait..its soul is chained to the child's....i-is this soul binding?' Luki wondered. He's father had explained how soul binding worked but he'd never seen it before the closest he came was with his parents souls. His mother had explained it as their souls being "Linked", which apparently, was much different from Binding.

"See you cant kill one of us without at least seriously injuring the other."
Arthur stated.

'Hmm unless it's mutual soul binding then it's something else..' Luki thought before smiling and letting out a disappointed sigh. "Well darn.."

"Sorry." Arthur replied with a smile.

"Well you injured and can't just leave yo-OOWW!!" Luki grabbed his arm due to Maline biting it. "What was that for you little beast?!"
Maline gave him one of those "Seriously" looks before shaking it head and going off.
"I dont think your raccoon would like that." Arthur chuckled.

"To bad. So you want to find your paradise huh?" Luki said with a big toothy grin as he crossed his arms and plopped down.

"Yeah..." Arthur replied slightly confused by Luki.

"Then lets find it together!" Luki replied grinning wider, this kid was an Alien or demon. A scent usually hard to pick up but this child had a very unique smell, Demons and Aliens are usually pretty tough so he shouldn't be much trouble.

"Uuhhh...okay..sure. Although I have to go off on my own sometimes.." Arthur replied.

"Fine by me, so long as you don't get yourself killed~" Luki hummed.
