Awakening to the sound of her phone ringing, Ravyn groaned as she rolled over to answer it. She had only one person programmed for this specific so she automatically knew who it was when she answered. "Ash." The soft rumble of a laugh came through the phone moment before the phone hung up. "Shit Rae!" Acheron had decided to make a personal appearance. "Warn a guy before he drops in that you sleep naked." Sitting up she pulled the covers more securely around her. "Considering if a guy ever 'dropped' in he would never see the dark of night again, this is your warning. Now what do you want? My shift doesn't start for another hour." Turning so just her bare back was facing him she stood and pulled on her nearby silk robe, giving Ash only a slight glimpse of her firm ass. "Actually I just wanted to see how you were taking your newest bit of information." Ravyn led the way downstairs and into the kitchen. Ash pulled a chair out from the table and sat on it backwards, straddling it. "I'm fine. Gives me a chance to keep a close eye on him. Then I get to kill him. Seeing as he's in town for once I can't pass up this opportunity." Pouring herself and Ash a cup of coffee she wondered where Sonia was lurking. She should be hanging around somewhere.

As though the thought had summoned her, Sonia came into the kitchen. "Already awake, I see." She said with a smile.

Rolling her eyes, Ravyn took a sip of her coffee and smiled. "Well when your boss pops into your room, and your lying in bed naked, you kind of dont have a choice at that point." Shooting Ash a dirty look, she watched a grin form on his face. Ravyn was one of the only people that Acheron could be completely comfortable around, seeing as they've known each other almost as long as either of them have existed, its a given that they'd know each other well. But Ravyn was the only Dark-Hunter that really knew Acheron at all.

"Quite true," said Sonia, continuing to smile as she acknowledged Acheron with a gracious nod.

"Im going to head over to Sanctuary if you'd like to ride along. Ash was just getting ready to pop out of here." Ravyn looked over at Ash with just enough time to catch him winking at her and then he was gone. Rolling her eyes she grabbed an apple out of the fridge and her leather jacket and helmet. "Coming?"

"Sure." Sonia grabbed her own jacket from over the back of a chair.

Ravyn straddle her bike, after Sonia climbed aborad she headed off in the direction of Sanctuary. It was only minutes until they got there. "I'm heading upstairs." Instead of popping herself upstairs she did the normal thing and walked through the front door, nodding at Dev, on of the Quadruplets, before entering. Glancing around she saw various Were-Hunters strolling around and working. Making her way to the kitchen door she stepped through it and headed up the stairs. She paused before knocking on Carson's office door. "Yeah?" Ravyn snorted slightly before entering the room. "Is he awake?" She didnt start with pleasantries, she wanted to get straight to the point. Carson massaged his temples and nodded his head. "He's weak though. So go easy on him if you go in there." Rolling her eyes she went through the door and sniffed. Down the hall two doors on the left. "I know the law." With that she shut his door and went towards Zanders room. Deep breaths.

Sonia placed a gentle hand on Ravyn's shoulder, "You sure you're alright to go in there?" she asked.

"Alone, probably not. He'll be too tempting to kill." There was a crackling noise and the smell of suntan lotion. "Which is why Im missing the best surf of my life to babysit you." A very tall, very good looking man in swim trunks and flip flops stood leaning against the door frame in front of them. "Savitar. I wasn't going to actually kill him." Savitar rolled his eyes dramatically and pushed open the door. "And the word of a woman makes me feel so much better." As Ravyn walked through the door she sighed and shook her head. He always looked so young and helpless to her but she knew he was far from that. "Awe look at that he's sleeping. Well too bad guess you'll have to come back another time." suddenly the Daimons eyes popped open and he looked straight at Ravyn.

Zander's eyes were as black as night. He was in a terrible amount of pain so his body was protecting itself. "Hello cousin." his tone was soft and it just caused to anger her more. True to the tails Were-Hunters and Daimons were cousins but these too even more so. They were cousins by blood. "Don't call me that. I just came to see how close you were to leaving this place. The moment you walk down the street you better watch your back." Zander smiled slightly before closing his eyes again. "I do love these little family reunions we have Rae but I'm too tired to fight."

At the sound of her nickname she almost left and at him and tore out his throat, too bad she knew Savitar had a force field around her that would zap enough electricity through her to set her powers haywire for days. Turning on her heel she stormed out of the room. "Fucking bastard!" Was all she said. She ignored the worried look on Savitars face. True she was both Ash's and Savitars favorite and they'd do just about anything to keep her from being hurt but she didn't wan that right now. She wanted freedom from her life.

Sonia didn't say a word, but she followed right behind Ravyn as she stormed out. She wasn't about to let her out of her sight until she knew she would be alright.

Ravyn went downstairs to the bar, ordered a very strong drink and sat in a corner. To bad she couldn't get drunk. Tonight would be a really good night for it. Glancing around she watched everything around her. Off in the opposite corner a man and woman were practically dry humping each other and it made her want to vomit. Suddenly someone sat down across from her, she knew instantly I was her other best friend Vane. "Go away, wolf. "

Snorting, Vane shook his head. "You know bossiness never gets you anywhere with me." slinging an arm over the back of his seat he watched her very intently. "Look, Rae i understand how upset you are. Believe me I do. But maybe... And I hate to say this but maybe you need to let this go."

Sonia was about to sit down with Ravyn when Vane showed up. In stead of intruding, she decided to take a seat a few chairs away from the two and just listen.

Gwen decided to grab a drink at the bar she was surprised when she saw who was all there, spiking her curiosity. "What's going on?" Gwen as Sonia when she sat down next to her.

Looking deeply into Vanes eyes, Ravyn sighed deeply and laid her head back against the back of the booth behind her. "I know your right, Vane. I know you are. But the bastard killed my parents. Granted it was centuries ago. How do I let it go? How do I forget that my own cousin killed my parents."

Vane eyed her carefully for a moment. "You don't think Zander was torn up at all over killing them? Well if that's what you think than your wrong. Zander used to be my best friend, aside from you, and he told me all about it. I know being a Daimon isn't an excuse but sometimes they can't control there instincts. It's hard for him. Going through life knowing he killed his own aunt and uncle."

Sonia glanced at Gwen as she sat down, "Family troubles," she said, "Our new guest it getting under Ravyn's skin." She kept her response purposely vague, she didn't know exactly how much Ravyn would be comfortable with the others knowing, and she'd be damned if she misused her trust.

Understanding that their was more to the story than she was being told Gwen decided she might want to tread carefully with her words. This group of people could be a bit touchy. "Then he's lucky he's family or Ravyn might kill him." She looked at the two. "And they might want to be a bit quieter before the entire bar learns about."

Sonia sighed and shook her head as Ravyn and her friend disappeared, she turned back to Gwen, turning her drink idly in her hands, "Yeah, well, that won't help him once he gets back on his feet." she mumbled.

"What do you mean?" Gwen asked as she ordered a drink, tea was her addiction. "He seems to be standing straight enough." She cared about Ravyn as a friend and someone she's admired, which meant that if anything was going sour in her life Gwen wanted to know about it. However, she did know that somethings just came with time.

"There has been some...not so pleasant interactions between her and Zander in the past." Sonia tol her, "I don't know how much you know, or how much Ravyn is comfortable with you knowing, but Zander won't live long after leaving Sanctuary if she has her way."

Gwen sighed, "I don't agree with it, due to the fact as much as she hates him now she might live to regret it later. However, I'm here to help the two of you in anyway. I haven't been given much responsibility lately so I've got a lot of free time on my hands." Sipping on the tea, she thought about the fact she hadn't heard from Acheron lately.

Sonia shrugged. If she were Ravyn...well, that was one of those things you never really knew unless it actually happened to you. "We can see if she wants any help when she comes back down." she offered, "I don't know how much she'll accept, but I know she'll appreciate the offer."

Talos and Flisky-old posts

The two wolves collapsed, each with a tiny pin prick in their chest cavity, paralyzed. Tiberius' hands sparked to life, his weapons though remained untouched "I suggest you let her go, unless you want your minions to die" he growled, walking towards the woman.

Tacia gave a yelp as a knife was shoved under her chin. The woman gave a sharp whistle and three more wolves materialized, cutting off Tiberius from Tacia. She gave up not using her powers as she and the woman vanished and reappeared next to Tiberius. Get her off! she shot at the hawk.

Tiberius paused as i said...i will protect you before anyone could react, Tiberius had his hand clamped around the Womans' skull, an dark smile formed "You have one of two options: First, let her go, and you will live, 2nd refuse and you will die a spectacularly gory death. Your wolves cannot save you, they so much as move and you die" he said sternly, feeling the skull bones strain under his grip.

The woman released Tacia but not before she drove the dagger into Tacia's side. Loosing control of her shape, Tacia shifted into her hybrid form, a white creature somewhere between a wolf and a leopard, but truly neither. Her entire form shivered as the woman laughed. "Kill me now, but you haven't the power to take her to a place to save her."

Tiberius grimaced inwardly "And you will tell me where that is and how i get there" he retorted, before setting every nerve ending ringing with pain. The beauty of controlling electricity, is that the body used it for life's functions, pain being the useful bit Tracia, how bad is it? he looked at the Woman he held in his hand.

The woman lost control of her powers as electricity bounced through her body. She shifted between forms, growling in pain. Tacia whimpered from where she was on the ground. Her blood ran red for a moment. Pull it out, she said weakly into his head.

He tossed the Woman aside, kneeling next to Tracia, putting preasure on the wound before carefully removing the weapon "It doesn't look to severe" Tiberius mused, keeping a close eye on the woman, his left hand hummed with the contained power in it.

In a flash of light, Tacia and Tiberius both found themselves back in the twenty first century and in Carson's office at Sanctuary. Savitar and Ash were still standing there, and Savitar looked at Ash. "Fetch Vane and Ravyn." Ash left and Savitar looked at Tacia. "There will be no retribution for your escort killing those who attacked you again."

"They aren't dead, but it's unlikely they'll be walking anytime soon" Tiberius said calmly, his head in a fog from the time shift bloody hell is it always like this? Or is it just my dumb luck?...the, i guess you call it sickness i mean anyways he asked Tracia as things began to come back into focus.

"You underestimate your own strength," Savitar said as he put a hand on Tacia's side. The leopard-wolf whimpered in pain. "And when you are pulled along at someone else's sides, it does tend to leave you in a daze." Tacia blinked as the wound started healing.

"A weapon seldom used is often underestimated" Tiberius said simply "I feel drunk, but i haven't touched the stuff in i can't remember" he groaned, sitting down on the floor.

Savitar actually gave a laugh. "It is one of the problems with time travel." He looked down at Tacia. "As soon as that brother of yours gets here, I'll be leaving." Tacia knew that Vane would come as soon as be could. No one could hurry her eldest brother.

Ash appeared next to Ravyn & Vane and smiled. "Hate to break up the love fest but Tacia is upstairs in Carson's office. Thought you ought to know. She has a....friend with her. Now I have an animal problem to take care of on Ravyn's route so I'll catch you two later." With that he looted out of the club, knowing there were no humans in the vicinity tonight. Without thought they both popped upstairs. Vane frowned as he noticed a...Daimon in the room. "What the hell happened?" he asked forcing himself to turn to his little sister. Ravyn on the other hand walked over in between the Tiberius and Tacia. Sniffing the air idelily she frowned. He wasn't just a Daimon. Quirking an eyebrow she let it slide for now. Right now Tacia was her main concern.

So addled were his senses that he didn't even hear Ravyn and Vane approach. Startled, Tiberius reverted to his hawk form "Damnit!" he squawked, settling down and finding a perch a top a chair. His head spun horribly from using his abilities so much in such a short time "Apologies, haven't quite got my wits about me" the Arcadian managed what the devil have i gotten myself into? he mused to himself.

Your mother's pack, Tacia said to Vane. She whimpered as Savitar pressed the wound slightly. Her paws twitched as if she was trying to get away. I'm still searching for my own mother, and the only reason I survived at all is Tiberius and Savitar.

Ravyn looked over at Savitar and raised her eyebrows. She was a bit surprised that Savitar would take time from his board to help out. But whatever. Glancing over at Vane she noticed his eyes turn cold. Vane's mothers pack had casted him out a long time ago. Because he had been born Katagarian instead of Arcadian. Walking over to him, she wrapped an arm around his waist and held his hand with her free hand. Pressing her forehead against his neck she sighed deeply. "I'm sorry..." Vane stood there as still as possible, staring off into space.

Tiberius watched in mild interest the conversation between the group, keenly aware that they could smell the Daimon trapped in him. Vane interested him, but he was to addled and confused "Where exactly are we again? And what time frame?" the hawk ruffled his feathers trying to orient himself.

Vane, please forgive me. I didn't go looking for THE- Tacia's words were cut off as Savitar finished his work. "Call me when she's up and about again," he told Vane and Ravyn. "We have to discuss her current...quest." Savitar disappeared, leaving them with the slightest scent of the ocean.

Vane growled deeply and went to stand next to Tacia. "I'm sure this is your fault Daimon." Ravyn sighed deeply. "Vane, just chill out." Looking over at Tiberius she frowned slightly. "Your at Sanctuary and safe for now. Now which one of you would like to explain what happened and why she," Ravyn pointed at Tacia to prove her point. "The baby of the Katalakis clan, is injured?"

"She asked me if i could protect her when she went back in search of her mother. I agreed, there where to many and i failed to prevent her injury" Tiberius said simply. Vane made him slightly uneasy, but interested Tiberius enough to not pay him to much mind.

Rae, Vane, it was my fault, Tacia said, her inner voice weak. I'm not a baby anymore. I want to find where she is, what father did to her. If she's even alive. There was a good chance that she and Wren were the last two snow leopards in existence. That they were both hybrids meant that their respective lines were little more than dead. To make it worse, Vane would understand her search but would in no ways approve. And Tacia knew that.

Vane went to speak but Ravyn held her hand up and prevented him from doing so. "Shut up Vane." Looking back at Tacia she smiled softly. "Honey whatever you feel you need to do, we will support you one hundred percent. No matter what!" She put an emphasis on the latter part that way Vane knew she meant business and he needed to back off. "But we will always worry about you and most likely have someone with you at all times." Looking up at Tiberius she frowned. "Someone we trust and know."

"No offense taken" the falcon chirped "I was as surprised at the offer as you obviously are. I don't bite, and i know you can smell the Daimon but that's a story for another time and it has nothing to do with my deciding to go with her" Tiberius' tone was relaxed "Now that this err fugue has worn off i'm quite tired. Besides that Damned Daimon that rousted me last night is bound to be back and i'd much rather fight well rested and preferably something decent in my stomach"

I searched Tiberius out, Tacia said. Her lips curled back slightly in an animal grimace of pain. Acheron would be angry if I pulled a dark hunter with me, and Vane is usually busy.

Sighing Vane shook his head. "I've got shit to do so since I'm not needed here, let me know what you decide, Rae." Walking out of the room grumpily he slammed the door. Ravyn instantly turned towards Tiberius and growled. "I don't care what Tacia says, you harm her, or let her be harmed on this fucking voyage, and I will rip your limbs off and chop you to pieces. This isn't a promise or a threat, I will do it. In my eyes, for now, your a filthy Daimon and nothing more. I'm letting you take her, because I trust her. So don't fuck this up." Inhaling deeply she leaned over and kissed Tacia's forehead. "Get some rest. Tiberius, come with me and we'll get you some food." Without another word she left and headed down the stairs and back out to the club.

"Don't i know it" Tiberius muttered, turning to Tracia "Would have been nice to know you had...family" his tone was even, but he was growing tired of being tossed around and barked at at the very worst i can just disappear again"

Tacia lay there silently, her eyes closed. She had winced when Vane had slammed out and when Rae had spoken her peace. Now she just let Tiberius's annoyance to wash over her and she shifted to her human form, glad for the blanket someone had laid over her because she didn't have the energy to summon her cloths. Just go, she shot at Tiberius. I won't be going back. That much is clear. She pulled the blanket up, turning so only the back of her blond head was visible along with bare shoulders and a shapely silhouette.

The falcon wobbled after Ravyn, following her down into the Club, making sure to remain aloft and out of the way. He didn't want trouble, at the moment Tiberius was thinking about simply bolting. He was tired, and still quite confused.

Sonia looked up when Ravyn came back down to the club. She caught her eye with a look that clearly asked what was going on and waited for her to approach.

Turning towards Tiberius she nodded at the bar. "Go ahead and order something to eat. If you need we can either give you a place to stay here or find something. Since I don't know your situation I'm just going to cover all the bases. When you get your food please join me over there with that pretty human." Rayvn went and sat with Sonia giving out a very heavy sigh. "Vane come through here?" She asked gently.

"Yes, but I didn't see where he went." Sonia answered, "What's going on? What's with the bird?"

Tiberius nodded, ordering and following Ravyn to the table "The bird has a name, and as for whats with me? Long story" he perched on the empty seat between them and turned back to Ravyn "I appreciate the offer, but i don't think i'll trouble you with putting me up" he ruffled his feathers, trying in futility to relax.

"My apologies," Sonia nodded to the falcon, "What is your name?"

"Tiberius" the Falcon coughed as he tried sipping on the drink brought to him "And yours?"

"Sonia." she answered with a small smirk as she turned her glass of wine by the stem. "What's the story?" She asked Ravyn.

Ravyn drew a hand through her hair and sighed gently. "She went to find her mother and in doing so, ran into Vane's mother. Well you know how she can be." Ravyn slammed her hand down on the table and cursed, causing several patrons to look in there direction. This just seemed to anger Ravyn more. "Mind your own damn business." She growled at them. Due to the fiercness in her tone they all turned back to what they had originally been doing. Clearing her throat she turned back to Sonia and Tiberius. "If she would have come to me, I would have gone with her. Ash isn't a slave driver. He would have rather Tacia be safe and unharmed than me do my rounds. Someone else could have taken my route." Groaning slightly she laid her head down on the table and sighed. "Maybe I could time jump to find her. I'll have to do it before the full moon. Don't want anyone following me, now do I?"

Sonia frowned, she had never liked the idea of the time jump plan. What was done was done as far as she was concerned. "Is Tacia going to be alright? If she's going to recover just fine then I don't see any reason to change events." she said gently. She wasn't being cold, just practical.

"No, I wouldn't be changing anything. I'm old enough to know better than that, I've also known Ash long enough to not do that. I just want to see if I can find her mother by doing it." Ravyn was a very experienced Time Jumper. Often times all she would need is a picture of someone and she could just to a place and time that they were. It came in handy quite a bit when they were searching for someone or something.

"Just...If you do, then be careful." Sonia said gently.

Shaking her head, Ravyn glanced up as Vane walked over to the main doors. Closing her eyes she wiggled her way into Vane's mind to see what was happening. There was a group of Daimons trying to get inside to get to Zander, who while under Carson's care, isn't allowed to leave Sanctuary. Standing, Ravyn dislodged herself from Vane's mind and made her way over to the doors. "Gentlemen, wouldn't want Savitar come to rain on your parade would you? Or I could just do his bidding for him and save him the heartache of having to leave his awesome surf." A female Daimon went to attack her but the one who apparently was the leader of this group, grabbed her by the throat to stop her and shook his head. "Don't even try, she's far to old and powerful for us." He turned to Ravyn and gritted his teeth. "We'll leave." Ravyn smiled, and crossed her arms over her chest. "Good choice." As she went to turn away the male grabbed her arm, causing Vane and Dev, who was at the door, guarding it tonight, to growl. "Just make sure nothing happens to him, please." Ravyn saw the anguish is this Daimons eyes, which was totally out of the ordinary for them so she nodded her head stiffly before the Daimon released her and jumped into a bolt whole. Exhaling deeply she nodded her head at Vane and Dev. "It's okay, no big." She walked stiffly back over to Sonia and Tiberius.

Seeing one of the Daimons grab Ravyn's arm, Sonia jumped from her chair. Her hand was on one of the trowing knives tucked under her belt as she uneasily watched the exchange. "What was that about?" she asked as Ravyn returned, her eyes were wide with concern.

Sitting down heavily Ravynbanged her head against the table. "I just promised him I wouldn't let anything happen to Zander. What the fuck was I thinking!?" A stray tear slid down her cheek, she just ignored it and closed her eyes. She would never touch him because some Daimon asked her not too.

Tiberius held himself in check at the Daimons. There was little he hated more. He waited for Ravyn to sit down "On the note of the time jump, for what it is worth there's a rather nasty pack of Katagaria that are rather amusing" he knew next to nothing about Tacia's complicated family aside what he had been told, though as a hawk he found it hard to understand anything that walked on four legs.

"Well I didn't make any promises." Sonia growled under her breath as she squeezed her friend's shoulder.

Ravyn grinned slightly and placed her hand on Sonia's shoulder. "First Squire to ever understand me. And believe me, I've had my fair share." Standing once again she glanced over her shoulder at Vane, "I'm goin to go have a few words with Vane and then it's time to work! Be right back." turning she headed off towards Vane who was standing by Remi. "I'm going on my rounds, come with me. You need to get out and about." Vane smiled slightly and nodded his head. "You mean I need to go out and kill something."

Sonia relaxed a little and smiled, relieved to see Ravyn in a slightly better mood.

Ravyn patted Vane on the shoulder as they left Sanctuary. They moved through the streets stealthily, not making a noise. They only ran into one daimon that night and it was an easy kill seeing as how he was so young. Vane sighed as they leaned against a near by building. Looking out into the square Ravyn saw a familiar looking Squire walking along the road, hand in hand with an Apollite. Looking over at Vane she frowned deeply and began following them. Led were led to a small but very Olympian looking motel. What appeared to be Aphrodite on the doors. "That doesn't look anything like her..." Vane whispered as the couple walked into the building. "Lovers, Vane. There fucking lovers! How could a Squire betray our kind like that?!" Angered beyond belief she turned and headed towards their bikes.
