Name: Tobias “greed” Eastborne
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Even though Tobias often tries to make it seem he has no interest in how he dresses, He knows clothing is an essential part of his beeing, and thus dresses according to the situation he finds himself in. Most of the time, He wears an outfit much like any commoners’ - in an attempt to blend in with, and gain the respect of his crew- made out of simple brown cloth and patches of leather. Yet when he gets to mingle with the higher social classes the bourgeois in him surfaces. The fine red robes and shimmering juwelry that accentuate his lithe figure are proof of that. His favorite piece of clothing, in any occasion whatsoever, remains his grey and wood-brown captains hat, decorated with a single black plume towering above it. The way he keeps his long red hair depends on the weather. When the hot summer winds blow in his face, He binds his hair back with a ribbon, causing it to fall in a gracefull ponytail. However, when there is few wind, and the sun burns not, he lets his locks fall freely over his constantly tanned face and broad sailors’ shoulders, letting nature decide what to do with it.
Personality: Like all decent pirates, Tobias has a healthy dose of gold fever. Like all good captains, he conciders healthy as a very..very wide term. His capitalistic nature has influenced his entire life dramatically, and gave him the obvious nickname: “greed”. Tobias wishes to regain the wealth great emperrors used to have, and exceed them. After spending years on sea, he has become rather isolated, and paranoid. Often mumbling to himself, Strangers often mistake him for a madman. After spending his entire youth beeing trained for the harsh and lonely life of a seaman, Tobias never has an urge for love or affection, making him slightly distant towards others.
Skills: Tobias is a skilled sailor and tactician. His keen eyes and mind rarely fail him, and grant him the chance of using every oppotunity to it’s best. The years he has already spend on sea have made him a wellread man, and have thus given him a grand vocabulary, which he enjoys to use to show off to the rich and fancy.
Weakness: Tobias’ most obvious weakness is his greed. Shake your purse infront of him, and he’ll kiss your boots like a beggar. Other than that, he has a despise for slackers that often drives him into battles he cannot win. When playing cards, rolling dice or any kind of proffitable game, he is quick to anger asswell, and will not think twice to draw his blade or break a bottle on his comrades head.
History: The Eastborne familly has been globally accepted by the aristocrats as a familly of great constables, because of their harsh training which started from birth. Most familly members accept this training, realizing it will later grant them great respect and pollitical power. But during puberty –which was the time when the training reached it’s most harsh period, the period in which they were Gong farmers- some children rebelled, and were forced into becoming a sailor. Tobias was one of those few, and has spent every day since his 12th birthday working either on, or for a ship.
Other: Even though he spents most of his time as a trade merchant, He doesn't shun piracy when the opportunity is given to him. Mostly when he raises the black flag, his ship will attempt to pillage and/or sink other ships.
footnotes: Constable= An officer, generally elected by the people, who possesses power as a conservator of the peace at common law, and by virtue of various legislative enactments. Gong farmer= in midieval times: person who had to clean latrines.
