Character Skills

Extension of the Worlds Between Character Form


For your character forms, you will rate your character in each of the following areas. You may rate them between 1 and 10, where 1 is very poor, 5 is average and 10 is very strong. In total, you may only put down 35 rating points. The purpose of this evaluation is to create interesting, balanced characters who are not good at everything.

The following sections will give you more of an idea of what each rating value represents.

Dexterity

How agile and coordinated is your character? Also deals with catching and aiming things.

1/10 - Your character is so clumsy that they fall flat on their face when they get out of bed in the morning and nearly die. A lot.
2/10 - Your character is very clumsy. They can't go twenty minutes without accidentally stubbing their toe, stumbling down stairs, dropping things, etc.
3/10 - Your character is rather clumsy. They often trip or walk into things, and are very bad at sports of any kind because they are pretty uncoordinated.
4/10 - Your character is kind of clumsy. Sometimes they trip over their own feet, and are not very good at sports that require a lot of coordination.
5/10 - Your character is average.
6/10 - Your character is reasonably good at keeping their balance and can play sports with some prowess.
7/10 - Your character is pretty coordinated, they're good at catching things and keeping their balance.
8/10 - Your character excels at activities involving coordination and balance.
9/10 - Your character is very fast, agile, and coordinated.
10/10 - Your character is an olympic gymnist/athlete.

Constitution

How much abuse can your character take, physically? Do they get drunk easily?

1/10 - If your character gets a scratch, they feel severely wounded.
2/10 - Your character is very sensitive, breaking bones and bruising easily.
3/10 - Your character is fairly frail and cannot take much physical damage. They have under-average resistance to poisons etc. They get drunk very fast.
4/10 - Your character is slightly more sensitive than average to physical damage.
5/10 - Your character is average.
6/10 - Your character is reasonably sturdy and can take a hit or two more than an average character.
7/10 - Your character is pretty tough, it takes some effort to wound them.
8/10 - Your character can take moderate pain without flinching.
9/10 - Your character needs a lot of booze to get drunk :P And doesn't feel the bar fights too badly in the morning. (not to say that have to be alcoholics or get into bar fights lol)
10/10 - Your character can withstand minor poisons and has seriously thick skin.

Strength

How physically strong is your character?

1/10 - Your character is so weak, they can hardly walk.
2/10 - Your character is very weak, they may have had some trauma that makes it impossible for them to gain muscle in certain areas of their body.
3/10 - Your character could not do one push-up if their life depended on it.
4/10 - Your character is weaker than average for their gender.
5/10 - Your character is average.
6/10 - Your character is slightly stronger than average.
7/10 - Your character is fairly strong, they may do some weight training.
8/10 - Your character is strong, they likely do extensive weight training.
9/10 - Your character is very strong.
10/10 - Your character could win in an international strong man competition.

Charisma

How attractive and persuasive your character is.

1/10 - Your character has some kind of deformation that makes them very ugly, or a very severe lack of social skills that disgusts and people a lot.
2/10 - Your character has is ugly or has a minor deformation, or they have a social quirk that turns people away 80% of the time.
3/10 - Your character is not very attractive and/or very socially awkward.
4/10 - Your character slightly less attractive than average, or slightly more socially awkward than average.
5/10 - Your character is average.
6/10 - Your character is slightly more attractive than average, or more approachable/persuasive.
7/10 - Your character is fairly attractive and/or have good social skills.
8/10 - Your character is attractive and/or persuasive.
9/10 - Your character is very attractive and/or very persuasive.
10/10 - Your character is as attractive as a supermodel and/or could sweet talk a country into going to war.

Wisdom

How much worldly experience does your character have?

1/10 - Your character lives in a tiny box with a number of misconceptions about the world.
2/10 - Your character is very naive.
3/10 - Your character is rather naive and has a number of misconceptions about how the world works.
4/10 - Your character is slightly more oblivious about the ways of the world than the average person.
5/10 - Your character is average.
6/10 - Your character is slightly more perceptive about the ways of the world than the average person.
7/10 - Your character finds the ways of the world and of people to be reasonably intuitive.
8/10 - People often assume your character is mature for their age.
9/10 - Your character is very perceptive and intuitive, and has accumulated a lot of wisdom.
10/10 - Your character is as wise a Gandalf or Dumbledore. (If you don't understand this reference... I don't know what to say to you)

Intelligence

How intelligent is your character?

1/10 - Your character is mentally challenged.
2/10 - Your character is rather slow.
3/10 - Your character is not very intelligent.
4/10 - Your character is slightly less intelligent than average, however not stupid by any means.
5/10 - Your character is average.
6/10 - Your character is smarter than your average person.
7/10 - Your character is rather intelligent. They enjoy trying to solve puzzles and usually figure them out.
8/10 - Your character is intelligent. They achieve highly on tests and learn quickly.
9/10 - Your character is very intelligent, consistently the top of their classes etc.
10/10 - Your character was/is a genius child, one of the world's greatest minds, who went through school very quickly and has never found a puzzle they cannot solve.
