THE GAME

There are several ways to play a game of magic. You can play one-on-one, or you can play with as many people as possible.
Each player begins with 20 life and a deck of however many cards they desire. (60 is considered the "official" number) You are then trying to win the game using your deck of cards. You can win in several ways:


If your life total falls below zero, you lose, unless a card in play says otherwise.


If you are forced to draw a card and cannot, you lose, unless a card in play says otherwise.


If you are the only player left in the game, you win.


If a card says you win after meeting certain conditions (example: At the beginning of your upkeep, if you have 50 or more life, you win the game), you win once you meet those conditions.


If a card in play says you lose after meeting certain conditions(example, if CARDNAME leaves play, you lose the game.), you lose once those conditions are met.

THE GOLDEN RULE:
If a card contradicts the rules, the card wins.
For example, if you have zero life, and you control a card that reads "You cannot lose the game and your opponants cannot win the game." Then you're still alive regardless of your life total until that card is dealt with.
