Ravira Najurian
Character name: Ravira Najurian
Home world: Becillius (Beh seal lee us)
Race: Becillian (Beh seal lee an) An evolution to humanity, Becillians, when first discovered on their home planet hundreds of years after a shuttle disappeared in their quadrant of space, were initially feared and revered. The perfection of their features and distinguished personalities lead humans to believe that they were vampires, which isn’t far off. Becillians have a long life span, they had no need to gain defensive abilities due to predators, instead, their bodies changed, morphed into a perfected state and release a sort of aura that attracts their own prey to them… Though they’re very much alive and don’t tend to drink human blood. XD
Age: 22
Height: 5’2”
Eye color/shape: a muted shade of red, wide and beautiful with a faint oriental slant to them, they’re rare and usually indicate a noble family of pure blood.
Hair color/style: Short black, with crimson roots (natural), kept in an upswept, spiky do that accentuates her features.
Face specifics: High cheekbones that angle down into a narrow jaw, her features are smooth and graceful. Her eyebrows are narrow and arch at an angle over her eyes that tend to give her a ‘lost’ sort of look, though she’s very sure of herself. Her lips are soft and appear to almost be ‘pouting’ all of the time.
Body specifics: She is well toned, a thin girl with a layer of muscle that doesn’t look grotesque, instead it seems to be an appeal to most. Has an almost palpable aura that draws others to her. She has a long, thin scar that’s hardly noticeable that wraps around her throat.
Occupation: Noble castaway (meaning that her family was a high standing nobility that was overthrown by a lesser family, in other words, she’s gotten the short end of the stick in life and must contend with a whole new manner of living.)
History: Ravira was raised in a large well-to-do family. The youngest of 9 she was often looked down upon as inexperienced and foolish due to a rather rash nature. She has also often been considered the black sheep, the foul luck of the family embodied due to the happenings that seem to come upon days that are considered holy to her- birthday, inauguration as a noblewoman, and other such special dates.
The eve of her birth her mother fell ill and died suddenly, her father, Lord Amuras, went into a severe depression for the next three years. He began to feel that the death of his wife was Ravira’s fault, that she, even then a young toddler, was at fault. He tried all that he knew to get rid of her- leaving her in the woods far from help, pushing her into a fast moving river. Anything that he could do subtly was the plot. Needless to say she came back in one piece each and every time.
The day of her inauguration, just after turning 7, when her father gave up trying to get rid of her that is, there was an attack on the kingdom. None were prepared and many lives were lost before the enemy was subdued.
She was schooled many long, hard years on the proper mannerisms of a woman, though followed them not. Ravira had her own personality and wasn’t willing to let anyone take or break her spirit. Many days were spent disguised and in attendance of fencing, and other such classes that she found fascinating. This went on until she was 16 and her guises discovered. She was kept under strict observation until graduation.
The morning of her marriage to a nobleman that she’d just met brought the final attack on the noble house of Najurian. The family was detained and the servants, as well as her fiance, slain. The next year came and went, and finally it was decided that she and the others would be executed.
She isn’t quite certain of what happened next, but when she awoke she was burning- flames licked at her flesh, as well as the mangled bodies beneath and around her. Ravira fled for her life, she didn’t stop for nearly 2 days, and only then due to sheer exhaustion and dehydration.
From that point on she lived in hiding, working as a commoner would to provide herself a way of life. She thrills in her new found freedom from the bonds of nobility, rather than loathes it.
Personality: Ravira is kind, sympathetic, gentle, thoughtful, witty, intelligent, modest and speaks her mind honestly. She is a caring soul who aids any who truly needs it and doesn’t worry often about her own well-being.
She’s a serious woman that sees her actions through no matter the situation. Nonetheless she finds it hard to confide in others due to the betrayal that landed her in the dilapidated old shack that she calls a home.
Despite what has happened throughout her life, Ravira doesn’t let it get to her. She lives every day to the fullest without a thought of doubt. She doesn’t take the time to backtrack and mope, feeling sorry for herself. She believes that what happens happens for a reason. And she hopes that she’ll find out just what that reason is someday.
Sexual preference: Bisexual; despite the fact that she’s never actually had sex or much experience in any sort of relationship, she’s found herself thinking about both men and women alike.
Relations: Her oldest sister Ririk is the only other surviving member of her family, and that because she’d been with her own husband halfway around the world. This, of course, is something that Ravira only vaguely cares about since her sister refused to aid her and the others during their year of slavery and when it had been decided that they be executed. She’s not really cared to get involved with anybody else due to the constant worry that she may be found again and be putting them in danger.
Abilities: Regeneration- in case it hasn’t been blatantly obvious, she’s been put through many situations that should have killed her. Her mother had the passive gene for regeneration which she passed on to her daughter. Because her death was so violent and sudden and nearly killed Ravira, the gene in the girl was activated. It has save Ravira’s life many times in the past. When she’s at her peak she heals almost faster than the injury can be dealt her, but with constant use, whether consciously or unconsciously, the rate and effectiveness of it begin to wear down.
She is talented with weaponry (Swords, and stemmed from that blunt weapons that she finds offhand if necessary and knives), and is a relatively talented martial artist. (These skills gained during her days of disguise whilst being schooled)
Her ‘aura’; it mesmerizes and draws others to her, which allows her the chance to deal with most trouble before it gets to her. Doesn’t work with others of her kind, and some creatures are indeed immune to it.
