November


Frosty nights
and moody weather
the transition point
to a long slumber


arrives yet again


In nostalgic recollection
a cold wind caresses bare trees
ground blanketed
with greying leaves


brilliance united with darkness


Snowdrop faeries
dance in the clouds
eagerly awaiting
to fly down


the world holds its breath in tones of shimmering blue


Hollow eyed
the spirit of Autumn
makes way for the burning ice
conquering her into Winter
