Snake Bites
1. Don't let the snake bite you, too. Hide behind a tree until the snake slithers off.
2. If the snake lingers in the area, throw rocks and sticks at it from a safe distance (thirty or forty feet).
3.Once you reach the victim, apply a tourniquet above the bite. You can use a belt or a tie for the tourniquet, although the chances that a person in the vicinity of an attacking snake will be wearing a tie are very slim.
4. Scream for help.
5. Suck the venom out of the wound. This sounds disgusting (and it is), but the bitter taste can be masked if you fill your mouth with applesause before applying your lips to the fang marks.
6. Loosen the tourniquet. Look around to see if the snake has come back. Tighten the tourniquet. Suck on the wound again.
7. Tell the victim that everything's going to be okay.
8. Take the victim to the hospital.
9. Never go back to that place again.
