Swedish furnitures

2008-12-24 [Xuan.]: some of these seem more like accessories. in this case can I add things like lamps and such to mine?

...the 'decoarative stuff' looks like copper. But maybe it's just the lighting. :P

2009-03-17 [Hedda]: Copper is way too soft to make things like that of. Brass is a copper alloy tough and can contain mostly copper. They didn't come with an alloy recipe though...

2009-03-17 [Artsieladie]: Now see that. You learn something new everyday! Decorative stuff is often just 'copper coated', because it's maintenance (cleaning) involves less effort and the appearance is thought to be more attractive by many. Alloy recipe? haha :)

Oh, but the copper water piping in my house seems to hold up quite well for both boiling hot and ice cold water. I wonder what its 'alloy recipe' is, because you have to be able to solder it when joining pieces of the piping. Hmm...

2009-03-17 [Hedda]: It can't be pure copper because you can bend a copper plate with your hands. On Copper it's "copper utensils" but I really doubt it's pure copper. Copper alloys are much harder even with just 5% zinc. I'm not an export though: Ask someone else.
