Reap the Wind

Author: Iris Johansen

Pubilsher: Bantam Books
review by: [Blaithin]

Leaving its mark behind for centuries, the Wind Dancer is once again enmeshing fragile lives. Binding strangers together through terror, desperation, and love. Caitlin Vasaro has grown up dreaming of the magnificent statue; dreaming of finding out its secrets and deciphering its messages. Unfortunately other, less moral individuals, have been dreaming of possessing the Wind Dancer for just as long.

To Caitlin, the emeralds, gold, and diamonds have never mattered; they're just part of the intrigue and beauty of golden Pegasus. She only wanted to untangle her family's history and understand its connection to the masterful piece of artwork. This has always been out of her reach though. Or at least it was until Alex Karazov showed up. Caitlin is wary when the mysterious man appears to sponsor her perfume and even more shocked by his suggestion of a marketing icon. The Wind Dancer. Little does Caitlin know that her promotion is a trap lying in wait, with the priceless statue as the main attraction. Can these two people from completely different worlds exist together and compliment one another's skills enough to come out on top?

As soon as I got into this book I was hard pressed to set it down. I grew closer to the story as I followed Caitlin and Alex through the trials, betrayals, victories, and losses. As they grew closer together, I grew closer to them. Iris Johansen will captivate and enthrall you with all her twists and turns. Her characters are so multi-dimensional, so real, that it is extremely easy to become part of an action through them. I highly recommend this novel to anyone, no matter what genre they previously say they prefer.
