Does that mean we can't use a graphic you made for someone else's request? I"m a little confused...

2009-03-15 [Chimes]: You can't use something I made for someone else, I made it for them, therefore they are the only ones allowed to use it. Unless it is for advertising purposes... then you're allowed to use it but only to advertise.
Technically using something made for someone else is Art Theft.

2009-03-15 [Angel of Ice]: Right, I know what art theft is. But if you are making a wiki for "free" images to use, I don't think you should say that only one person can use the images.
What if someone sees an image that will fit perfectly on their page? Do they have to request you make it again, just for them?

There is a slight difference, and each banner she makes is unique cfor the person who requested them.
It would be stupid to take a banner that reads someone elses name or wiki name.

2009-03-15 [Chimes]: Well, these things will be made for certain pages, thus having titles and possibly quotes on them, or for houses thus having usernames. No two wiki pages can have exactly the same name, the same with usernames. What's the point of having a graphic with someone elses wiki name or username on it? O.o; I don't see why anyone would want a graphic that has been personalised for someone else.
This wiki isn't just a free 'take it and use it' wiki. It's a request wiki. If people want to just grab-a-graphic they can go to Elftown Graphics, as it is what it's made for. This wiki can be used if people want them specially made, personalised, for them and only them. I know I'd be annoyed if someone claimed a graphic that was made for (or by) me as their own. I would assume others would be the same.

2009-03-17 [Chimes]: Well, the trouble is... black roses don't really exist, they're actually blue. :P Proper black roses are rare... at least in stock photos. I may just have to use another colour... and make it black. :P If my skills allow, which they should.

2009-03-17 [Chimes]: Google = no no. Unless it's from a stock website, or stock account on another website, as they tend to be royalty-free and free for use. A lot of google images are copyrighted, which is why I use the things I mentioned up on the wiki to get my images, unless the requester wants me to use their photography.

Colours, Text, Images: Well, dragon flies if possible. A thick black border with the a blue border inside of it. (two borders together basically) The colour schemes, I would like blues and blacks but keeping to a dark scheme. The style is gothic noir so could the writing be gothic esc. Also swirls are good and anything else that would go well. It’s meant to look very spooky and dark. Ok and I would like two quotes on it, above the title I would like ‘Come here little dragonfly’, then below the title ‘let me hear you testify’.

2009-04-21 [Elwyne]: oooh, I've already been here... and I musta forgotten where to go... I'm afraid my request might be a bit difficult. I've never had banners for my wikis and rps before so I'm mostly guessing, but whatever you decide to do I'm sure will be fine. Or if it's too difficult you don't have to at all.

2009-04-21 [Chimes]: It shouldn't be too difficult. :) It'll be a challenge, certainly, but I like challenges. I like the idea. :) I already know at least one stock that I can use for it. But at the moment I am nearing final deadlines and exam times... bear in mind this is the most important time of my life thus far... so please don't get offended if it takes me ages. After May 21st, I'll only be going to three lessons a week, though I will have someone staying with me but I'll probably have more time at that point if I don't do any before.

2009-04-21 [Chimes]: Well, the art'll come out fine... but the deadline for my Art and Photography courses is May 21st (June 11th, latest for Art) So... if I have a spare moment when I'm not working... I'll probably be doing something for myself to calm the stresses of deadline and exam time... should I suffer them. I may well do the requests in this time... but if I'm stressed I won't want to be doing them... because they will come out badly. :P
