The First Lesson

Lesson 1

So where are you? look around, find possible exits, possible weapons, and obstacles for your attacker. You don't want your back against a wall (no way out, and no room to "give" if you're hit). If you suspect Attacker-person is not alone, then having your back to wide open spaces is not too good either (where his "buddies" can get you while he's distracting you). Keep trashcans in sight, trees, parked cars, etc., that you can use to get behind if you need to, to slow him/her down.
-------------------------------------------

Now, is he/she running madly at you? Sidestep! just rush to the side at the last second, (or a tad before --you don't want to give him time to change his direction). Don't "jump" to the side. Too much time is lost in the air, and you're vunerable/immobile/etc. As he rushes by, give them a good hearty kick to the stomach, shins (if you're not feeling too nice that day^^). Or punch them in the ribs, lower stomach, jaw, gouge his/her eyes(if they're trying something nasty), hit the base of the head...That stuff usually hurts...^^ or just run if you don't wanna fight, or if you're late to school...
---------------------------------------------

If attack-man has a knife and is not running towards you...?
CAREFUL! keep good distance between you and A-boy(attacker). get a weapon yourself. It's not a time to worry about "ooo i shouldn't hurt him/her" or "aaauugh! i'm scared!" or " i'll look like a sissy...." Just hit him/her before they hits you! People rarely expect being hit on the shins...go for them! Knees too. The face too! if he can't see, he can't hurt you, make A-boy's eyes cry. If you have no weapon, when he draws back to attack, rush in (it's hard to get to you when you're very close), capture his wrist, distract him (with a punch to the face, or elsewhere...) and take the sharpie away.
