Proof in History
This page demonstrates historical evidence for the existance of Jesus, his life, ministry, miracles, death and resurrection. If one can prove the resurrection of Jesus, then it is confirmation of both his claims as the Son of God as well as the existance of God in order to have a Son and raise Him from the dead. Please refere to What is Proof? if you are confused or unsure of how the after-mentioned is considered proof. Also, for the sake of simplicity the documents will be cited in MLA format rather than Chicago A (citation method normally used for history documents.)
What We Are An overview of Christianity for those who may not fully know what we are all about, are confused about something or may just want some things cleared up. Make sure you know about Christianity before you start arguing against it.
Was Jesus a Real Person? Did Jesus really exist or was He a fictional character created by Jews desperate for a Messiah to deliver them from the Romans?
The Life and Works of Jesus How did Jesus get such a big following? Were His miracles illusion? Hypnosis? Or were they real? Did Jesus really lead a blameless, perfect life?
But Wasn't . . . But wasn't Jesus insane? Wasn't He just a good moral teacher? Wasn't He just a product of His time?
The Death and Resurrection of Jesus Why was Jesus really crusified? What evidence do we have? How can a dead person rise from the grave? Didn't His disciples steal His body? Didn't He only fake His death? What if He wasn't really dead when they took him off the cross? Didn't the disciples get a look-alike to pose as the risen Jesus? What is the significance of the Resurrection?
Prophecies Fulfilled Did Jesus really fulfill over 300 Jewish prophecies? What's the big deal? Didn't He intentionally center His life in order to do it?
Now What? So what are we left with? So Jesus lived and died, lots of people do. What's so special about Him? His followers were only weak people looking for false hope to hold on to. What did Jesus have to gain out of all this? What did His early followers have to gain? How was Christianity able to grow from just another "Religious Cult" to a historical, ongoing, international phenomanon? What makes Christianity so special?
Putting It All Together We've seen the data, read the info. What can we conclude? What do the professionals say?
