Keep your PE up and shoot the child four times until it separates and then twice after that to weaken it more. After that, use LIBERATE on the walking piece not the piece that is floating. Its wiser to use Liberate on the creature after it has separated because doing so from the start will not kill it.

Aya will alternate attacks between the two-pieced creature, killing it with no problem.

Note: The walking creature has an attack that is to shoot a beam across the whole screen, leaving Aya with little chance to escape from taking in damage. You can avoid this if you are in the right position. Try to stay as far away from the being as possible. The beam will run out of juice once it has gone across the whole screen. Try to stay at the end of the beam because most likely you'll take in less damage there.
