The Vampyres
Turn the clocks back several hundred years, where Europe was still in the feudal era. Back in the days where community was the most important treasure and myths were the scariest subject to imagine. Every night parents would tell their children not to venture into the woods after dusk because no one really know what lurked out there in the darkness. Back in the days where the sunrise gave you great relief to know you survived another night in the realms of myths. 

Then by chance what if one of these legends were true, that blood sucking humans that could not tolerate the sun "lived" among the people, stealing away their very lives. It would drive any sensible, reasonable human to point the blame on the nearest outcast around. Then at the middle of the night, what if the whole town descended upon your shack in the village, armed with pitchforks and fire to kill the monstrosity they believed that was you. Would you try to reason with the angry mob or would you run for your very life? 

What if you should be trapped by that angry mob seeking vampire blood, would you kneel down to pray or simply weep? Just as they are about to cut off your head, you see a shadow sprint through the crowd, grab hold of you and escape into the night before anyone realized what happened. Ironically, what saved you was the very reason why the mob tried to kill you in the first place.

The next thing you remember is waking up in a lavish castle, in a bed of silk sheets and splendor of all kinds present. As you look up you see the Vampyre looking deep into your eyes, offering you power and eternal life. 

Will you take this gift offered to you, or will you forever be just a mortal constantly running away from the angry mob?
