She is very sensitive and easily offended, however she is a powerful fighter and will stick up for herself if anyone gives her trouble. Water Lily loves to be around animals as they give her peace and she knows that they won't hurt her.
This has changed somewhat in the past 300 or so years. Wilhelm and Zen have made her into a more trusting person and she is very approachable now. |

History: | Although she is the daughter of the Titans, she never grew up with them, she was left in the forest since she was six and told to fend for herself. This way she grew up knowing how to live her life with nature.
She taught herself to use the gifts her parents gave her, which was a notebook, harp, bow and arrows, and a quill that you never need to re-dip in ink.
At the age of 2,173 she fell in love with a human that strayed into the forest. His name was Leo and beheld long dark hair and dark eyes. He fell deeply in love with Water Lily in return until one day he told her that being in love with a nymph feels like that he is under a spell and that he wanted to return to reality. Water Lily told him that she never put him under a spell and pleaded with him to stay but he turned his back on her, leaving her in grave sorrow and a broken heart with a torn soul. She then turned 3,000 years old with nothing left in the world but old love memories haunting her mind. She had never been so hurt in her life and tries to go on with life but sometimes breaks out in tears at random intervals over her lost love and despair.
Water Lily knows of no other nymphs and therefore her only friends is the nature that lives around her. When humans stray into the forest she often watches them from within the shadows out of curiosity. She wishes to share their company most times but is too shy and often blushes rather obviously around them. |

Likes: | Water Lily likes to sit on River/Lake banks and play her harp to herself whilst singing with her beautiful voice that every Nymph is blessed with. She also likes to climb trees when she sees humans or other creatures to spy on them and note on their behavior. Sometimes when she is in these trees and sitting/lying rather comfortably she will write her poetry whilst listening to the birds singing around her. |
| |
Dislikes: | Water Lily does not like hunters; she is a vegetarian herself and thinks that the killing of animals for food is wrong. When she spies hunters she sometimes tries to warn all the animals nearby of them and hopes that none of them are spotted. Water Lily also does not like being overly social with humans or other human based beings; however, she does tend to get lonely and often regrets living in solitude. |

Possessions: | Water Lily’s main possessions involve her harp, notebook, quill and bow with arrows. Her harp is known as Siren and is made from pure silver and has a rather delicate look about it. The strings are rather clear but glisten in the sunlight. Engraved in the main frame of Siren are the branches of ivy twisting and curling around the silver.
Her notebook has a black leather back and on the front, engraved into the leather with silver thread, is the words ‘A Nymphs Memoirs’. The paper within the notebook is made of papyrus so the paper is of a slight yellow in colour. The quill is made from a swan’s feather so it beholds a pure white beauty. This quill, as a gift from her father, does not need to be re-dipped in ink, it has magic to it.
Her bow is quite simple as it is not something she uses very often, as she does not personally hunt. She vowed to only use her bow and arrows for defense. |

History of Nymphs: | In Greek mythology, nymphs were beautiful beings associated with specific elements of nature. There were wood nymphs and water nymphs and nymphs who protected certain trees, meadows or mountains.
But just how did the term nympho (short for nymphomaniac), used to describe a woman with an overactive, or uncontrollable sex drive, come to derive from the name for these mythical creatures?
The Greek word νυμφη, or nymphe, has multiple meanings including "bride" and "veiled." Hence, nymphs, in addition to being beautiful and eternally youthful (though not necessarily immortal), were "marriageable" creatures. Descended from gods, it's no surprise that unions with a nymph were particularly auspicious, and resulted in the birth of kings and heroes. (Ever heard of Achilles? Well he was the son of King Peleus and Thetis, a water nymph.)
Unlike their contemporary counterparts, however, nymphs are often depicted as chaste, spiritual beings who fall victim to the obsessive sex drives of some Greek god or satyr. Such was the case with Daphne, the sun god Apollo's first love, who prayed to Zeus to save her from being ravished and was transformed into a tree. |
