Q. What does BPD stand for?
A. BPD is an acronym for Borderline Personality Disorder.

Q. Why do you call yourself a chameleon?
A. We chameleons are so named because of our tendency to take on the speech patterns, mannerisms, favored activities, and even accents of the people we are around the most. This behavior, which is considered an Identity Disturbance Issue, is very common, and is caused by our indecisiveness about who we are or want to be.

Q. Do you go to therapy specifically for your BPD?
A. Not anymore, no. I was in a special kind of therapy for awhile, called Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and it was helping, but I cannot afford that anymore. Now I just go to regular counseling sessions.

Q. You mentioned you have a boyfriend. Is it hard to hold that sort of relationship?
A. Sometimes it is, yes. Its easier with him though, than it has been with anyone else. He balances me in ways that I can't even put into words.
