The group finds itself right outside of Verholm's manor, under the south wall, shrouded by a cluster of trees. Verholm's manor is a large building on the top of a hill to the east of Osvik, the west wall harbors a watchtower and the east wall a gate and a guardhouse. The wall is tall and mirrorlike in its surface, made with pitch black skarradian Ore, it probably costed a fortune but its certainly unclimbable.

Time - 4:30 pm

Gaius walked into the shadow of the trees and after making sure the sentries in the guardtower could not see him, he waited for the others.

Urien made his way to Gaius as quiet as possible.

Saris followed Urien walking calmly, but carefully making sure the guards wouldn't notice her. She stood behind a tree and looked at the wall, frowning slightly.

Wolf followed the others actions, hiding behind a tree, yet sighed softly, really wanting to just go out and masacure everyone, but then again he'd be acting like an idiot again.

Eirian followed, keeping low.

Gaius looked around Where the hell did Amadea go? he thought as he turned to the rest of the group. "So, what's gonna be our course of action?"

Amadea appeared by Gaius' side. "Well, there's only one way in by foot, and that's the gate."

"Maybe we should wait for the night" Saris said, without moving. "How are we going to get in there if every door is being watched?" she slowly crossed her arms over her chest, thinking.

"Take out the people watching them," Wolf suggested. He looked bored as usual, mainly since no one was moving.

Urien stroked the wall. "Its almost like glass its so smooth! Itwould be impossible to scale."

"You can always use a bow," Wolf commented. "Take them out long range."

"That's a possibility... and we've three people who can shoot arrows!" Saris said looking at Eirian, Amadea and Wolf, who were carring bows. "Still, we need nobody to notice the guards have been shot and to open the gate... maybe you could fly over the wall once the guards are out?" she asked looking at Eirian.

Eirian nods, "Yes, that's easily accomplished. However..." She pauses, "There would be less chance of someone within noticing the fallen guards or myself if we wait for nightfall." She rustled her dark wings. "Particularly as the sun will be setting behind me."

"It is decided then, we will wait for nightfall, chances are the gate will be closed by then, we will take down the guards on the outside of the gate and on the watchtower with arrows, then Eirian can fly over the wall and open the gate for us from inside" said Gaius to the others and then lightly placed a hand on Eirian's shoulder. "Miss Eirian, once you fly in, you will on your own for a while, it will be extremely dangerous, are you sure you want to do this?"

"One more piece of information that might be handy," Wolf started again, lifting his hand and pointing up with one finger. "If possible, Eirian might be able to take someone with her, if she's strong enough."

"It will need to be someone who can protect her while she's taking her shots," said Amadea.

Urien shrugged. "I'd volunteer, but I'm afraid I may be too heavy too lift over that wall." He looked up to the top of it.

Eirian looks thoughtfully at the walls, "I suppose I could... Preferably whoever's lightest though..." She rolls her left shoulder slightly. "Amadea?"

Amadea studied the group carefully. "Urien and Wolf are out of the question. That would leave Gaius, Saris, and myself. I believe it would be better if Saris went. Not only is she the lightest of us non-flyers, but it is highly likely she could keep you from being mobbed until you open the gate for us."

"Well, thanks" Saris said to Amadea, slightly flattered, in a way. "While we wait for the night we could look around and choose which gate are we going to open..." she said a moment after.

"Yes, Saris would be the most sensitive option, especially since she is a panther... " replied Gaius as he sat down near a tree. "I believe there is only one gate, Amadea, we will attack in about 3 hours, I will need you and Erian to clear out that watchtower before she moves in, I suggest we eat in the meantime."

Urien nodded, sitting against the wall. "I'm starting to worry about tonight's mission."

Amadea took out his ration and began eating. "Does anyone else besides myself and Erian have a ranged weapon," he asked between mouthfuls.

Saris sat down close to Urien and took out her ration. "We've got that fireweapon from Skelle... but nobody knows how to use it" she answered Amadea while calmly eating.

"Well it seems that at any given time there are 2 archers up on that tower, You and Miss Eirian should be able to take care of them, but we shouldn't be over confident, Verholm does not emply thieves to guard his home, those up there are real archers, just as the ones guarding the door are real knights" replied Gaius peering at the tower on the other side of the wall. "It will get dark soon..."

Eirian eats quietly, complacently studying the towers.

"So, Miss Eirian, I told you I would help you locate your friend after we're done with Verholm" said Gaius in an attempt to ease the tension and anxiety in the air. "where will we be heading?"

Urien listened in on the conversation, intrigued about Eirian's friend.

Eirian shakes her head and gives Gauis a hopeless look. "We we're seperated when our airship was attacked by a group of some sort of strange dragon creature." She shrugs, "I have no idea where the princess is or whether or not she is with any of the others that accompanied her."

"Princess, you say?" Saris asked, looking at Eirian and stopping eating for a moment. "Your friend is the princess of the hauken?"

Urien raised an eyebrow but made no other sign that he was listening. He bit into a large chunk of a golden yellow cheese, making sure he was well fed before that night's battle.

Eirian nods, "Yeah. No. I mean, she's cousin to Prince Sanuye Ther'mara, the rightful heir to the throne, but he's a flaming idiot." She shakes her head again, "It's complicated, but most of the Hauken wanted Misae to rule. However, the best way for her to do that would be to marry Sanuye, which is something she wasn't about to do, I guess." Erian shrugs, the politics of Kosate had never been very important to her.

"Guess the prince would've been rather adamant on marrying his cousin as well?" added Gaius as he glanced at the night sky, it should be time to start soon.

Amadea finished eating. He examined his weapons and armor before setting the crossbow across his lap, waiting for the moment of attack.

"He was obsessed with her," Eirian answered, putting an end to the conversation for now. "We should be getting ready soon." She checked her bowstring, making sure it hadn't loosened in the damp air.

Urien checked his blades carefully in preparation. "Its now or never," he said softly.

After Eirian's comment, Saris prepared herself too. "Why don't we get over the plan once again? Just to be sure" she said.

"Good idea" said Gaius standing up and walking to the very center of the cluster, where everyone could see him. "First off, Amadea and Eirian will take out the archers on the guard tower, immediately afterwards, Eirian will carry Saris over the wall and they will sneak or fight their way towards the main gate." he said as he gesticulated towards the west side of the wall. "In the meantime the rest of us will head towards the gate, with any luck by the time we reach in Eirian and Saris will have managed to open it, we will rendezvous there and head towards the mansion" he concluded striking the palm of his left hand with his right fist, then looked up at the sky and added a grim, "It is time."

Urien stood. "Aye. But before we go, I suggest to Eirian and Saris that when you are over the wall you go straight to the gates. It'll be easier for us all to fight rather than just you two take on a force alone."

Saris slightly nodded. "We'll try our best" she said and eyed Eirian. "Right?" She smiled and looked cautious at the wall, trying to see where the guards were.

Suddenly voices were heard on top of the guard tower and two torches were lit, clearly marking the position of the 2 archers on the tower.

Eirian nodded, "Right!"

Saris watched the guards. "Look" she whispered loud enough for the others to hear. "Now is the moment, they're perfectly visible!"

Urien stood and pressed his back against the wall.

Eirian crept out from the walls, drawing an arrow. She aimed for the left guard, and loosed her arrow.

Amadea pointed his crossbow carefully at the other guard and fire his bolt.

Eirian's arrow swiftly struck one of the men in the head, the guard let go of his torch and collapsed, dead or dying, the second guard quickly turned and started making his way to the tower ladder when Amadea's bolt hit his back, the man archerd his back trying to reach the missile but he was unable, he ran on the spot for a couple of seconds and finally fell off the tower with a loud dry thump.

Gaius
nodded aprovingly, "Perfect" he said "Eirian and Saris, you know what to do, the rest, come with me." he signaled them as he walked stealthily towards the gate in comando fashion, holding his staff close to his chest, he turned one last time to the girls and muttered "Good luck" as he disappeared behind the corner of the wall.

Urien followed Gaius but not before turning to the two girls and nodding to them. "You'll be fine," he said with a smile.

Amadea winked at the ladies as he reloaded his crossbow and followed Gaius and Urien.

"Okay... it's time to go" Saris said, feeling a bit nervous, but she tried not to think much. She looked at Eirian and waited for her to tell her what to do.

Eirian finished strapping her bow to her back and walked over to Saris. She looks at her for a moment, "Well, it'll probably be easier if we...er... sort of... embrace. If you get my meaning?"

"Yes, alright" Saris said and embraced Eirian as good as she could, trying not to make it too uncomfortable for her to fly like that.

Eirian wrapped her arms securely under Saris's arm pits, and then beat her wings hard. They lifted off the ground slowly, bobbing in the air a bit before getting high enough to pass over the wall. Clearing it, Eiran set them down as close to the wall as she could, and as near the gate as she could figure.

Gaius turned around back one last time and called out to Wolgang on a hushed voice. "Wolf, you stay here and make sure no one goes into the mansion while we're in, also check if someone get on the tower."

"Ok" replied simply Wolfgang running back towards the cluster of trees.
